I wonder if the person meant to say something like “biased people might not hire you”? But then you probably don’t want to be hired by racists anyway.

@Eric Doty (Superpath) 🔨

That's all I write about (well more on the tax and accounting specific side of financial writing). AMA.

Hey gang! Does anyone have a good visual example of a Buyers Guide integrated on the product page, but strategically? Not just dumping a huge guide on the page, tho. I need to showcase some examples.
Edit: Also I’m looking to find some good UGC. Like genuine reviews or customer pictures of products. Ex: Since we sell furniture it’s interior pictures in our case.

Does anyone have experience experimenting with AI Dubbing or AI Subtitling (HeyGen, Synthesia, etc?)?
Also looking for insight on multilingual content marketing - and how you go about that (translating English content, or using AI to author directly in other languages..)
Thanks!

Thanks Jimmy! Yes here's our Slack group:
And we actually wrote an entire blog on how to write about financial services!

Anyone here from Entrust? They have an open role that I am super interested in and would
love to talk to someone from the team. Please DM.
(I am not sure if this is allowed in this thread. I figured that since this is the general one, I could give it a shot.)
Thank you.

Anyone have a good high-level content strategy template that they like? (Or an example deck, etc, if not a template exactly.) Specifically for presentation to C Suite / board — so, basically, for an audience that goes beyond the marketing department / goes beyond folks who already understand marketing and content. Interested in seeing how others have structured content strategy presentations in a concise & clear way for folks who don’t think about these things day in and day out!

Putting something together about the state of in-house content marketing teams. Im collecting examples of companies that have cut their in-house teams. If you are aware of one, can you DM me? (Even if it wasn't one you were involved in!)
Esp looking for companies MarTech, Sales Tech, Crypto, or Product Ops.

for its support! (👋 @Maeva Cifuentes)Frustrated by your SEO and content agency that:
* Just takes orders passively and doesn’t advise or bring ideas proactively? (So you can never fully take your mind off the project)
* Picks topics opportunistically rather than aligned with your product and your GTM strategy?
* Writes generic content that was obviously done by a content marketer rather than someone deep in your customer’s niche?
* Doesn’t have time for you?
solves these problems.
As a small agency of senior-level consultants with a proven track record of SEO success in B2B SaaS, you get a strategic partner that stands in the fire with you.
It’s not only you that’ll be happier when you can finally focus on higher-level strategic work, but your boss will be happier when you finally start reporting on revenue-driving SEO.
Flying Cat only takes on up to 10 clients at a time to ensure focused and white-glove service. They just signed their 8th, will you be the next one?

I assume they mean the pretty privilege might play a role but no professional would be stupid enough to do that, I think?

Just had someone tell me I should not include too many of my pictures on my website because it might create a bias. And I was like wtf??
I have only 2 images of my own. But, is it really true? Showing your face will affect decisions?

👀 Hello everyone, I am creating a more comprehensive material about ethical governance in startups, both from an operator and from a VC/ investor point of view.
• Given the current landscape, competitive advantage is often built on standards, principles and values, as well as or even more than just based on a certain tech stack.
• If you'd like your opinion to be included (anonymously or not), pls DM. Thx!

It's tax season here in the USA. Along with being a freelance FinTech writer, I'm also a CPA. I thought we could use a thread with some helpful US tax or year end accounting (not US specific since accounting rules are generally the same regardless of locale) information.
If anyone needs answers to a quick tax or accounting question, drop it here. I'll answer them quickly.
Feel free to DM with tax or accounting questions if you don't want to share your situation with others.

Does anyone know how to write a website copy for B2B brands? I'm a content writer and don't know anything about it

Do you LOVE editing videos for your company? Also, do you enjoy using 4 different tools to create 1 video of your CEO talking? If you do, it sounds like you're good to go and Shuffll is NOT what you're looking for.
BUT if editing and creating more B2B videos is causing you regular headaches and you feel like you're running low on ideas - Shuffll might be your knight in shining armor ✨!
Shuffll is your AI copilot that takes you from initial concept to fully branded video in minutes. We teach our model about your company, so that every single video is highly personalized. The type of videos we do best are marketing videos, explainers, thought leadership videos and basically every video where you (or your company expert) are in front of the camera.

writing an article and thought you folks would have some excellent recommendations.
what’s the best company vision statement you have come across?

Short-term SEO strategies that chase the hockey stick and forsake fundamentals

For Reddit, it completely depends on your audience — for example, if you work in travel, you might follow r/vacations, r/travelhacks, r/studyabroad, etc. Or if you work in B2B SaaS, you might follow r/projectmanagement, r/agencies, etc. Take your product’s / offering’s main features and your key audiences and find the reddit spaces where they would probably hang out and look for advice.
Or — check out some of your top / most coveted keywords, and see what reddit threads are ranking for them. (Almost always some, but if not just add “reddit” to the end of the keyword and see what comes up). Then follow the subreddits those threads are in.

I would suggest screaming frog, yes.

Is anyone here a trained journalist (ideally with B2B experience) who would be open to 1-2 (paid) mentoring calls?
I would love to get better at:
• Getting in touch with sources & doing deep research -> Goal is to create in depth case studies
• How to get better at consolidating this information & writing -> I don't have a writing background and not being a native speaker doesn't help😅
