We do! Keith is a great guy 😄

Hi @Elysia Mann. I'm based in West Linn, and after popping over to your .com, I'm curious what you think the best disco song is? (I'm kind of a CHIC fan, then Donna Summer.)

Hi @Kai Davis. I'm based out of West Linn (PDX suburb at the confluence of the Tualatin, Clackamas, and Willamette Rivers). I think we have a mutual friend in Keith Perhac.

I was Portland-based for the last many many years, but as of September moved down to Southern Oregon (Eagle Point specifically, outside the Medford/Ashland area.)

pdx!

Hello oregon peeps! I'm down near Eugene. Where y'all at?

Woot woot to my fellow Oregonians!

@Kelly Schwarze Thanks for sharing! I always forget it’s First Thursday when First Thursday happens 😛 Such a great event. I probably won’t make it myself tonight, but have a blast!

Hey Portlanders, Today is first Thursday art walk --- I’ve never been! I’m likely going to check out this event at Wieden + Kennedy’s office today:

Hi fellow Portlanders! I’m a freelance content writer and editor specializing in travel, hospitality, and home remodeling. My goals for this year are to increase my client load and/or take on a part-time position in the area 🙂

Awesome!

I'll be joining the Digital Intellect as a Content Manager. So excited! 😁

Congrats on the new role @Brit McGinnis (editing, research)! What lucky company are you joining?

Can't believe I missed this! I'm a copywriter and editor based in Vancouver. I'm starting a new position in March as a content manager and I am STOKED. But that means I'm shipping out the "last call" emails to my clients and prospects this week.

Sounds like you both are a little more "settled" career-wise than I am. I'm looking forward to getting to that point!
@Sara Gates I'm interested to hear how you got into freelance content writing. Do you enjoy that more than being "in-house"? I've been considering it but not sure freelance is the right route for me.

I’m a freelance content writer, mostly for B2B SaaS firms, mostly in the mar-tech and data space. But I was an in-house marketer for about a decade prior to going solo, at a vacation rental company (Vacasa) and a customer experience software company (AskNicely), both based in Portland. Way back when I was an editorial intern at Portland Monthly, and then freelanced for them occasionally, so I have some distant background with media Nick! 😉 These days, I’m trying to work as efficiently as possible because I have a toddler and want to spend as much time with her as I can before she grows up and doesn’t want anything to do with me.

Career goals? Honestly, these days, it mostly boils down to 'keep my cat happy, survive these interesting times' 😆

I'm the head of marketing for
.
Hi @Kai Davis and @Sara Gates. Nice to see some fellow Portlanders/Oregonians!
I'm curious to know what everyone does for a living and what your career goals are, if you don't mind sharing .
I recently made a career change into writing and have been freelance copy editing for about a year-and-a-half. Currently I am pursuing staff editorial positions at media companies.

Hey friends! I’m a freelance writer based here in Portland — appreciate you breathing a little life back into this channel 🙂

I'm down in Eugene, Oregon, and often up in portland (Founder/CEO is up there and I go up to cowork)

Hello! Anyone else here in Portland? Just found this channel and thought I'd drop a note to get the ball rolling.

Yooooo, this is happening!

I also went to a sushi spot next door to Dick’s on another night. (Shumi? I’m blanking on the name.) Good fish, and friendly to my requests to just bring me a pile of meat with no rice 😆

Thanks for the nudge, Kelly! I did!
Dick’s Primal Burger was a really good option. Lettuce wraps, AIP-friendly oils, and sweet potato fries. I’ll be back for sure.
