It sounds like they're trying to save money by using a Madlibs-style approach. That doesn't work as well these days because Google wants unique content.

@Rebekah Edwards, check out Postpace. It does a great job of creating an outline/brief with H2s and He's from top 50 Google links for a specific keyword. You have to provide the keyword and it does everything else. I tried it out a couple of times and it's made my life so easy

Yeah. That's my argument too but they just want "foundation content ideas" to base their posts.

That’s extremely broad and vague. I’d need to know the industry and type of busines…

It's just that they want to use the content that I write for different kinds of clients. Yes, they will rewrite for every client, but what should I write... What kind of posts are global thought leadership posts.
And Thank You So Much in Advance!

Treat your caption as an extension of your Instagram post. Start with a hook. You can begin with a question, you can begin with a fact . Make it as clear as possible, with short sentences. Also, unless it's necessary, don't make your caption to be too long. Instagram users have a short attention span and something that's too long will just be skipped. To get them to engage, ask a question or tell them to tag someone. This may be different from original CTA your content has.
And most of all, my personal favorite, be yourself. Write your caption like you will when you are talking. People will relate to you more if you speak like a person.

If anyone has done something like this before... I would love some advice!

Hey everyone, I just wanted to ask that I just started writing for a US-based Agency and they want me to write base content for some though leadership posts that they will use for all of their clients by revamping it a bit...

A few tips I can provide is to break up the text. No more than 2 sentence blocks. Write as if you are talking. So if you want to leave someone in suspense, break up the sentence after a cliff hanger if that makes sense.
You want the first line to be attention grabbing/hook them and give them a reason to keep scrolling.
Find emotional appeal in what you are sharing and always ask yourself what does the audience want and why does this matter to them when deciding what to share.
I also like to end with a question or call to action that will evoke comments on the post. You want more than just likes, but engagement as well positively effects the algorithm. (Reply to every comment as well).
Consider social media like a water cooler, initiate conversations, share stories and thought provoking ideas.
For hashtags you want to choose common ones that your target audience might be following. Do some research and don’t use ones with hundreds of thousands of tags.

I've always treated captions like miniature blog posts.
Have a great heading and intro line above the fold in case they don't hit "read more"
Know your audience
Use keywords intelligently
And for hashtags, think of them more like communities than attraction channels. If someone is searching a particular hashtag or it is showing up a lot on their feed, then it probably has some meaning to them. So tap into that meaning and use that hashtag as if you were chiming into a Discord or Slack channel.
Hope this all helps!

Have you thought about recording videos of doing it yourself and creating, essentially, a video course for your editors to work through?
I haven't done this specifically, but any time any of my contractors have questions I record a Loom video walking through the process and then throw it into a "learning-resources" channel on my company's Slack for everyone and anyone to see and learn from. It's simple but has worked really well and reduced the amount of hand-holding I have to do to get someone trained on tasks.
Idk if this helps or not, though!

Hey all - what are some of the dos and don’ts for Instagram captions? Any tips on copywriting, tagging, and hashtagging would also be helpful 🙂

hey all - do you have a favorite tool for tracking performance of social media? We’ve been using Agorapulse but it doesn’t track TikTok or Video so we’re looking to switch

Thank you!!

What is your favorite resource for teaching an editor how to outline/create a brief for transactional/commercial pages? I’m usually the one who does these at my agency, but trying to teach new editor(s) to do it and would love to have a well-written resource on how to do this. (My writers for these are great, it’s more getting the outlines done that’s a little more challenging.)

Thanks @Parthi Loganathan Will DM you!

Thanks @Jimmy Daly (Superpath). I should have gone there first!

Thanks @Rebekah Edwards! Will DM you

Oh alright. Apologies, please.

@Isaac Ekundayo can you move to #content-collab?

LinkedIn has a pretty robust content studio

I think the meditation app Headspace does a great job with their content marketing. They have educational blog content, a podcast and a Netflix series.
