Hope you're all having a nice end to the week.
I had a question in terms of freelancers and contractors.
We're looking to possibly bring a writer or two in house on a part-time basis. But the two candidates write for our competition.
As freelancers, I feel it's fair game for them to write for whomever they want. But if they're in-house, what kind of restrictions would be fair or best practice?

Just chiming in that Google Docs is the winner for us too. I recently moved to a company that heavily uses Notion but drafting and editing goes through Google Docs.

Love Notion but not for that kind of work

I agree with @Cassandra Jowett and everyone else that your rate is low and that your client’s ask seems unreasonable given how much work you put into your process.

I would second @Rebekah Edwards suggestion and look for some other clients who would value and pay for you what you deserve.

hi @Bryan Grover, i'd say the right candidate has a background in seo and content — enough so she or he (or vice versa) can pinpoint keywords to target and nurture additional growth of evergreen content.

i'd also say the candidate should have some experience with project management and building up a content organization up (bringing onboard freelancers, hiring in-house writers and editors).
