Thanks a lot Dominic. By rate per article, is that essentially a project rate? So: X amount for X-Y word count?

Or is it X amount for X-Y word count for different types of articles. So, this same pricing structure but different rates for how-to articles and different rates for, say, content types like case studies, etc.?

Hmm. Good question. I currently charge per word for blog articles and always regarded image prep as part of content production. So, no I'm not. What would you recommend for pricing this type of image prep?

Hii @Eric Doty (Superpath) and @Dominic Kent I typically create collages of step-by-step guides, before/after photos (again, a creative platform for visuals, so I test and show the results of using the tools), and 'final result' photos (similar to the goal for before/after photos).

some visuals also require prompt generation. I've started using ChatGPT to speed up this part of the process too but this is often a key part of the process.

Hi everyone, I find myself spending way too much time prepping images for articles and I'd like to change that.

Mine often involves using multiple tools since the brand's product is a creative product. I do have a simple workflow and templates, but it doesn't change the time invested for most pieces and it's generally not an activity I enjoy.

How do you manage image prep for clients' articles without investing hours into the process? Please let me know 🥺

Hey everyone. Have you ever used Help a B2B Writer to source quotes? I tried it for the first time for an article and have some questions.

1. I'm getting good ideas, but none of these people seem to be experts in the field I requested. It's not even evident from their LinkedIn profiles. And yes, I mentioned that I needed quotes from experts in this specific field. I sense that they do have some experience on the topic, but I'm wary of quoting them for the readers sake. Is this a norm with Help a B2B Writer?
2. Is there a required or an unspoken etiquette for interacting with those who respond to your request? Do you have to reply someone letting them know when you aren't using their quote in your piece? Please let me know, thanks!

Btw, George Saunders’s book, A Swim in a Pond in The Rain is a masterclass on writing. It’s on short stories but I personally picked up a lot from it related to all forms of writing.

Have you considered asking those who hire writers your space what words they use when searching for writers like you? You could start with your current clients.

Not sure how your bio is currently phrased but I think “I write for AI-integrated B2B SaaS companies” isn’t so bad. Or “I write about ML and AI for AI-integrated B2B SaaS companies”

Folks, how would you bill a project focused on updating a brand’s YouTube video descriptions in line with SEO best practices? Vids are over 20. I was going to go the per word route but noticed that this project requires more research, assessment, and strategy, and less writing. But I’m not entirely sure how to cost this fairly. I started doing something similar two weeks ago but since ChatGPT doesn’t surf the internet, it’s unable to assess things like new blog posts, reports, etc., on the company’s site. I’ve had to feed it the data I need to analyze. @Ritoban Mukherjee how have you navigated this? Do you feed it with the info you need it to analyze or do you simply name the company? From your screenshot, it looks like you simply gave it the name of the company. So, I’m curious to know how you work around that.

Haha @Liz Clinen I get what you mean. You can try using Tweetdeck. I add people to lists according to why I want to keep up with them, then I use tweetdeck to segment my feed according to those lists. This way, my headspace is free of the overwhelming feeling that comes with Twitter’s actual platform.

Hi Folks,

I’m trying to sync Notion with my Google Calendar and I’m not too sure how to go about it.

Here's what I mean:

1. I have multiple databases on Notion.
2. I have scheduled reminders for a majority of tasks/pages in these databases.
3. I want to be able to create a single calendar view in Notion where each of those scheduled tasks/reminders from different databases appears.
4. So, like a home base for all my scheduled activities/reminders.
5. I then want this larger calendar to sync with my Google Calendar. Please tell me you get what I mean (😅). I know Zapier provides some integration options but does it operate at this scale? How do I even create that home base in Notion?
