Although I didn't grow up around here! Came to the Maryland burbs from central PA about 5 years ago to be closer to friends

@Jimmy Daly (Superpath) I am incredibly close to Kensington so that's a wild fun fact for me

Yesss, so happy this is here!

I have room to onboard one more content marketing client in August. I create, refresh, and manage content for B2B SaaS companies.
Some reasons you should hire me include:
- More than seven years of experience in the content marketing world
- Flexible service model: Ask me for support at any point of a piece of content's lifecycle, whether you need something from scratch, a refresh, or distribution materials
- Experience with your favorite brands, including Zapier, WordPress, and Databox
I'm especially keen to support clients with content strategy and management tasks like brief creation, refreshes, and distribution. On top of my experience with established B2B SaaS brands, I have editing and social media experience that help me tackle all sorts of content needs.

I'd imagine it depends on the requester, but as far as I know, most folks will follow up if they end up choosing your response. It seems that a follow up is much more of a crapshoot if your response isn't chosen because many folks tell me it's rare for requesters to give an update if they don't use a response.
(I typically send out requests versus responding to them, so that's where my info comes from haha)

Happy birthday Eric!
#freelance-talk - March 15, 2024 at 08:43 PM
Huh, it's working fine for me
#freelance-talk - February 22, 2024 at 09:21 PM
Good luck with the next stage of your career! If you haven't already, you could ask for quick testimonials from clients who you know enjoy your work. That way you'll have them for your LinkedIn profile and can hold onto them for future job searching.
#content-collab - January 09, 2024 at 08:46 PM
Nice! That definitely sounds like it aligns with everyone's goals most effectively.
#content-collab - January 09, 2024 at 07:21 PM
And no problem!
#content-collab - January 09, 2024 at 07:20 PM
It's this page specifically (just switched myself from mobile to PC):
#content-collab - January 09, 2024 at 07:19 PM
The Help a B2B Writer submission form specifically mentions Ahref's tool, so most submissions (including mine) probably use that data!

Replace that beer with a can of fizzy water and absolutely
#CJE3XC0H3-announcements - December 12, 2023 at 08:02 PM
Congrats to you both (and Lindsay!) Eric's going to kick butt!
#content-collab - October 12, 2023 at 06:58 PM
That's exactly where I'm at right now! I've been working really hard on lead generation after, like many other writers, I lost clients earlier this year. I'm still on the hunt for a new client or two and want to perform more content strategy services, but even if I don't get those by the end of this year, I know I'll go into next year with so many more skills than I had before.
#freelance-talk - October 10, 2023 at 05:14 PM
It helps SO MUCH. I deal with some mental health stuff, and the commute could be a barrier to me getting to work because it felt like so. much. But now I just need to walk over to my desk, so I rarely miss work like I would when working on site.
#freelance-talk - October 10, 2023 at 05:11 PM
I work 5 days a week, but I work for about 5 hours a day instead of 8. I don't necessarily feel guilty, but I sometimes feel self-conscious in the sense that I worry that others don't think I work hard? It's not something that like, plagues me every day, but I do worry sometimes even though I know it's not rational.
#content-collab - September 25, 2023 at 09:30 PM
I've gotten what I needed -- thank you!
~For a blog post for Zapier (nofollow link): Anybody investing in Bluesky, Reddit, or Discord as a social media platform for your business? Why are you using it and what results have you seen? DM me or respond in thread!~
#freelance-gigs - September 19, 2023 at 06:59 PM
If it helps at all, I don't think you're alone -- it seems like there are quite a few freelancers in this situation, myself included. I've been doing inbound marketing and cold outreach on LinkedIn and I've been getting close, if that gives you an idea to try? I've been getting interested people who either don't have the budget for me or are full up on freelancers, which I feel is at least one step closer to getting fully qualified leads.

Just DM'ed you, Mike! Thanks so much for sharing this opportunity.

@Ankit Vora Would this be up your alley?
#content-collab - June 20, 2023 at 09:25 PM
Hey gang! Trying out a smaller-scale quote sourcing approach for a Zapier article I'm working on. Could you tell me about a time where you received effective feedback and what made it so effective for you? A few sentences are fine.
Please note that Zapier uses nofollow links and commenting doesn't guarantee inclusion. But I'm happy to mention your brand alongside your name if you are included!
#content-collab - June 19, 2023 at 06:29 PM
I don't really listen to music while working now that I mainly do long form content, but when I needed to do repetitive SEO copywriting at my old job, this song and other Persona 5 songs would help:
This one plays during the final part of a mission in the game it's from, so it's really got that "pump up" factor going. I don't have any stats to back this up with, but I've heard that video game music can help you focus since it's designed to complement you doing something already - playing the game.
#pets - May 15, 2023 at 11:03 PM
Oh no! That feel when the zoomies strike š
#freelance-gigs - May 15, 2023 at 08:38 PM
Hi @Sarah, I just applied as well. Thanks for sharing this opportunity!
#freelance-gigs - May 12, 2023 at 10:46 PM
(eagerly awaiting to see what fun emote I get)
#freelance-gigs - May 12, 2023 at 10:45 PM
Looks like it's about half and half for me as well, although afaik the content managers that do write don't do it too often.
#freelance-gigs - April 07, 2023 at 07:52 PM
Yeah, I was wondering if this was going to happen. I don't do those kinds of gigs myself, but I know they're a starting point for a lot of folks. I'm hoping that Google's intentions to weed out pure AI content work and y'all can have a fighting chance again.

@Andrea Here she is lounging in her cat tree!
#pets - March 30, 2023 at 08:35 PM
Omg I'm obsessed with this. My cat, Lizzie, loves to hear cats meowing and trilling from my phone, and she really liked this video too!
#freelance-gigs - March 02, 2023 at 07:55 PM
I use
! I don't do much document signing, so the three documents a month for free works pretty well for me. Looks like monthly pricing for the basic plan is $10, which doesn't seem too bad.#intros - December 29, 2022 at 02:46 AM
Hey, Alyssa! Took me a sec to realize this wasn't the Unwinnable slack haha
#freelance-gigs - November 29, 2022 at 01:38 AM
It honestly depends on the month. I mainly have clients who give me regular work, so I pencil them in for the month and then try to confirm at the last week if the previous month or first week of that month. Whatever the circumstances, I'd say that allocating my workload has been a major help because then I know if I have space or not.
#freelance-gigs - November 28, 2022 at 11:19 PM
I plan out my months in advance based on the workdays available and how many workdays it would take to do work for different projects. I blocked out the time I wanted to take off in advance, compared my available time to my normal workload, and looked for places to take on fewer blog posts or pass on them.
If it looks like you won't be able to take on work for all your clients, I suggest thinking about your client's collaboration styles and their relationship with you. For me, I had to tell two clients I couldn't take on any work for November or December, and since I chose to do that with flexible clients who I have a strong relationship with, I was able to do it pretty confidently!
#general - November 11, 2022 at 02:50 AM
I'm moreso wondering if we'll have a Twitter to go back to at this point, or whether it'll be a Tumblr situation where it exists but has a totally different landscape. But hey, I'd be glad to be wrong haha
#general - November 10, 2022 at 09:12 PM
Hey gang! Seeing if there are any other folks here who also dabble in social media management wondering what to do about their Twitter presence in light of recent events. I do social media for a small online publication, and we're thinking of building an account/presence on Mastodon to put more irons on the fire. Anyone else working with an organization considering investing in Mastodon? Know of any brands/publications with a Mastodon account? Need to come into this thread to scream into the void about this situation?
#freelance-gigs - October 26, 2022 at 05:59 PM
Hahaha I was just coming into this thread to recommend her as well!
#freelance-gigs - October 03, 2022 at 04:51 PM
Ohhh, looking back I can totally see how it could be read that way because I didn't specify! Yeah, the Wave invoices fit the bill for me āŗļø
#freelance-gigs - October 03, 2022 at 04:46 PM
The Wave invoices look like they do in this image, if that helps any!
#freelance-gigs - October 03, 2022 at 04:39 PM
I always thought the PDFs looked fine! They let you decide what accent color you want, but I don't think you have much control over the layout
#content-collab - May 24, 2022 at 10:30 PM
@Jimmy Daly (Superpath) Perfect! Thanks a bunch š
#content-collab - May 24, 2022 at 07:34 PM
@Jimmy Daly (Superpath) It sure does! If you could tell me how Superpath grew through the beginning of the pandemic (especially through factors universal to bad economic times instead of COVID-specific ones) in a few sentences, that'd be great! You can reply here or email me, whichever works best for you. Thanks so much, Jimmy!
#content-collab - May 23, 2022 at 08:55 PM
Hello everyone! Iām writing an article for Zapier on recession-resistant business models. Not ideas for how to run a business during a recession, but business types (e.g. bakery, subscription box, etc.) that could have a better chance of succeeding during tough economic times.
Iām looking for folks who have run businesses that made it through hard economic times. If thatās you, please answer this question:
> If you ran a successful business during a tough economic time like the 2008 recession or the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, what type of business was it and how did it thrive?
Donāt forget to include a link to your business for me to add if I include you!
#content-collab - May 04, 2022 at 07:59 PM
Hello everyone! This one's aimed at people who use SME insights in their articles. I'm writing an article on what business folks can do to write a good HARO answer that's more likely to get used. Can you tell me one best practice they can follow to write you a helpful answer that you'll actually use? (Go ahead and include a link to your website -- I'll link back to you if I use your quote āŗļø)
#content-collab - April 27, 2022 at 10:05 PM
@Maddy Osman @Eliza Wright Update! I did end up including quotes from managers as well, so I included both of your quotes in my outline. The article will probably be published in May or June, and I'll let you know then if your quotes made it to the final draft and share the article link! Thanks again for your help.
#content-collab - April 13, 2022 at 06:44 PM
Thank you both for your insights! Just a heads up that I'm primarily looking for thoughts from IT professionals, but depending on how my available quotes shape up, there might be room for your quotes, too š I'll keep you updated.
(If anyone else is reading this, I'm still on the lookout for quotes, so feel free to contribute by EOD on the 18th!)
#content-collab - April 11, 2022 at 08:41 PM
Hi everyone!
Anyone in touch with any IT pros willing to contribute their thoughts to a
article on onboarding and offboarding employees from an organization's tech? I need answers to this question:"What is your top recommended strategy or tool for onboarding and offboarding an organizationās employees to and from its technology? Think processes like providing equipment, adding/revoking account access, and training employees how to use your tech."
(Please note that this is for an article pitch/outline in progress, so your submission of a quote doesn't guarantee inclusion. Thanks in advance!)
