Hey gang! Seeing if there are any other folks here who also dabble in social media management wondering what to do about their Twitter presence in light of recent events. I do social media for a small online publication, and we're thinking of building an account/presence on Mastodon to put more irons on the fire. Anyone else working with an organization considering investing in Mastodon? Know of any brands/publications with a Mastodon account? Need to come into this thread to scream into the void about this situation?
Mastodon is a temporary retreat. Everyone will be back on Twitter pretty soon when the craziness subsides.
I'm moreso wondering if we'll have a Twitter to go back to at this point, or whether it'll be a Tumblr situation where it exists but has a totally different landscape. But hey, I'd be glad to be wrong haha
Oh, of course. Even now, communities are engaging in full force. The ones who "left" are supposedly coming back too.
I would not consider Mastodon for any business.
I don’t get it, what’s wrong with twitter?
A week later, with things rapidly changing at Twitter, I’m wondering if folks are reevaluating Twitter or preparing for its possible shutdown?
