If anyone wants to learn more about AI, my first big event-led campaign is live, we’re hosting an AI Summit for marketers

Some of my thoughts:
• If you’re going to do video work alongside it, buy a good camera, especially if you work on a Mac.
• If you can book a few notable names for your first few interviews, use those in outreach. The hardest part when starting out is the lack of proof/validation/examples when doing guest outreach.
• Know that a podcast is a long game. Results generally trickle in slowly over time.
• Understand the why before starting so you can measure success accurately. Downloads are usually only a fraction of the story/success metrics.
• The guest outreach/prep/communication is crucial.

I loved Hubspot’s Skill Up podcast. Might be a bit outdated now (it ran from 18-21) but I found the episodes educational, thought provoking, and easy to listen to.

Late to this party, but this would be a great business stream to pitch to organizations going through website overhauls. We hired a student at one point to fix all the broken, wonky blogs during our last site transition.

I’ve used Temi and Trint before, both pretty nice. I did not like Descript.

If you need any materials to reference in the article, I wrote this piece and it may be helpful:

They provide you more content to repurpose, which has been incredibly helpful. I believe having the true human element available (seeing the customer actually speak and tell their story) does result in better engagement/outcomes.

We’ve shifted to video interviews that go alongside a landing page. Here’s the home page

Does anyone work at company that uses Salesforce? I’d love to send the SF admin a few questions for an upcoming article about common Salesforce mistakes to avoid at all costs. Thanks! 😄

If you still need quotes, happy to contribute. Also, this article I wrote may be nice to pull from:

Creative ideas for getting hype started before the launch of a new season. We’re about to go into Season 6 of Formstack’s Practically Genius podcast and looking for some fresh promo ideas going into the trailer and first episode 🙂

We are gearing up to run a community survey to better inform our content, events, and community efforts for 2023. We ran one last year, so we have somewhere to start, but wondering if anyone has run one they would be willing to share or know of some strong examples in the wild? Thanks! CC: @Abby Nieten

Sure! I’m the host and co-producer of
. We partner with an agency (Share Your Genius) to help us with strategy, reporting, and all the sound editing/production work. I source most of the guests, handle guest comms, write show titles/descriptions etc. and handle all our website presence (individual pages, related blogs etc.)#content-podcasting - August 17, 2022 at 08:52 PM

Anyone have great examples of a podcast results dashboard? Interested in the best way to show results from different avenues, i.e. our website, podcast players, youtube etc. I’m trying to get a better holistic view of our data but data visualization is by no means my strength 😅 If there are tools you recommend, let me know!

I have found that running a newsletter alongside a podcast can be a way to track impact. We are about to do some testing with this as we launch a new newsletter and promote it alongside our podcast. It usually very low conversion since it’s a listening platform and not high on clickthroughs, but at least provides listeners a way to continue connecting with your brand past the podcast player.

We keep our episodes <30 for a lot of those reasons and are testing a second show flow of <15 mins. We also track consumption, although that data is only coming from Apple podcasts so not capturing data from all of our audience but at least provides some insight.

Marketers who focus on customer testimonials and stories: Any tips on how to avoid the red tape/layers of “approvals” from customers when trying to publish a customer story? We often get stuck by people needing to get cleared to either chat with us and/or have something reviewed before it is published. Trying to minimize this as much as possible, interested in hearing any strategies. (From my own experience going to marketers usually helps avoid this, but they are not my audience and rarely who would make sense to chat with/highlight.)

Does anyone else use Monday to manage their blog? We are revamping our board for blog management and I’d LOVE some inspiration if anyone would be willing to explain their board layout or send a screenshot. Our biggest hurdle is figuring out how to get our designer assigned to each post, we were using subitems but it’s difficult without the date dependency option.
#content-collab - March 09, 2022 at 01:46 PM
Sure can! This is our main piece, The Rise of the No-Code Economy:
and here’s an example of a verticalized piece focused on financial services titled Financial Process Automation: A Guide to No-Code Workflows#content-collab - March 03, 2022 at 09:29 PM
The best thing we’ve done is verticalize our largest piece of content we produce each year. For instance, we produce one stand-alone, large report that is crafted for a broader audience, then we will segment the data by industry and create shorter, condensed pieces that speak directly to that industry. Happy to share more/examples.

Advice: partner directly with your social media manager as you do this
