No worries at all. 🙂 Just sent the email now.

Hey @Jane Flanagan, I've got a former GoCardless Head of Content who's freelancing again now. They could be valuable for FreshBooks' content efforts in future. Would you like me to intro them via your email there? 🙂

@Rease Kirchner What's the deadline? I think I can reasonably chase this person up to deliver by the end of this week.
#content-collab - April 06, 2020 at 04:40 PM
Whoops, I have no idea how I missed those above! 😅 Thanks!

@Rease Kirchner I've got a marketing manager here at GoCardless that's interested in contributing.
Quick clarifier - would this be you interviewing them over a call, or them submitting shortform copy responses to text questions? 🙂

Know people looking for roles in tech companies in London right now?
Here's a list of 100 tech companies in London still hiring during COVID-19: . Note that these aren't necessarily content roles, but thought some of you might know non-content folk who are looking right now and could find this useful. 🙏

Sure thing. 👍

No problema, Sue, happy to help! Let me know if I can be of any further assistance. 🙂
#writing-feedback - March 25, 2020 at 11:35 AM
To add context to this - I was previously in a role where I was a marketing team of one. As such, my experience with PPC ads was minimal, so the above thoughts are not from someone who's well versed in ads.
Now, I'm a content writer for a much larger org that has a dedicated team to handle ads. So I wouldn't have any personal involvement in onboarding a new tool/agency for that. 🙂

Hey Sue! 👋 Here are my live thoughts as I go! 😄 Hope they help.
Unlock the full potential of your online ads
Manage your Facebook, Instagram & Google Ads in one place.
Makes me think this is a web app through which I can create, edit, and report on ads from those three channels.
Managing 7,164 ads for 3,125 businesses
Makes me wonder if this is a tool I can use, or this is an agency that will do the ad management for me.
Create & manage all your online ads in one place
Confirms my original thought this is a tool.
Create and run ads in minutes
3 minutes is all you need. You can create ads on multiple channels without the hassle of managing different ad platforms.
Okay, so speed/convenience is what I'm getting here.
Trust your ads with experts
Backed by AI technology, our in-house marketing experts will manage your campaigns and proactively suggest better and more effective strategies. With Adriel, your ads are in good hands.
"AI" - a concerning buzzword, but not a deterrent to me using this tool. But again I'm wondering how much I'll be using this tool myself and how much I'll need someone on your end to manage for me. Is this going to be a bottleneck? Will this service be expensive due to the human involvement? But I do like that I'm getting help with my ads.
Manage all in one place
Manage ads and get reports from Facebook, Google and many other platforms. See beautifully aggregated data in one place. Get cross-platform insights you can't find anywhere else.
I'm dubious about these insights. It'd be interesting to see a quick video that runs me through what they are and why that's valuable. I'd also like to see some social proof from existing users that this tool actually helps smooth reporting processes out, rather than just supplementing with a new report.
We're not just another expensive agency
Not a fan of retainer? Neither are we.
Set your own budget. We'll take care of the rest.
Ahhhh, so it is an agency, not a self-serve tool. I've been burned a little with agencies before, so I'm now wrestling with how much I need this.
Start with the plan that fits your needs
Cool, this is helpful! But the "19% on ad spend" isn't what I just saw above about ad platform and services fees per day. I'm now confused about pricing.

I think so too. 🙂 If there's any way I can help - and I have no idea what that would look like right now - please let me know!

I'm so sorry to hear, Margaret. I hope you find something new soon!

Damn, David, I'm sorry to hear that. Fingers crossed for you, pal! 🤞

Good luck with everything, Ajdin! This virus situation is a bloody mess. 😬
#intros - March 11, 2020 at 01:35 PM
No problema!

@Janessa Lantz, VP of Marketing at dbt Labs Ha, small world! 😄 I've just passed along your kind words to the team. If this is the meetup I think it is, Dan just published a post about the topic on our blog:
.@Benjamin Lucas How funny, I used to work with a Ben and the two of us got confused by people external to the company a few times. Guess it's just the destiny of Bens and Brads!

Cheers, Jimmy. Been following Animalz' stuff for a while and thought it was overdue to get involved here!
#uk-content-marketers - March 10, 2020 at 04:21 PM
Sure thing, Jack - I'll DM you. 🙂

Hey, all! 👋 Introduced myself in #intros but thought it was worth redoing here. I'm Brad, a Content Writer for GoCardless here in London. 🇬🇧 Fell into the world of content a few years ago when I first entered the tech startup space too. As is often the way, I juggle a few too many things to neatly summarise my role, but I'm excited to be part of the community and share some learnings. 🙂
For any interested, I'm part of another largely-UK writers group (in-house specific, unfortunately - not for agency folk) which is starting to get some regular 1-on-1 coffee meets going in London (or, at least, they've all been London so far but nothing's stopping a digital coffee!). I've gone to a few so far and it's really great to be able to make a human connection. If anyone here wants to get involved, let me know and I'll get you an invite to the group. ☕
