1 you can use software w/ AI to generate this and add in human review (I use the Captions app, but CapCut and other software does this pretty easily). Let’s say 1 hour per video, .5 if you can develop an efficient workflow.

2 is not totally clear. Are they asking you to parse the substance of those 50 video pieces to find subtopics and tangentially related topics to pitch as new video ideas that they will refine and execute on? Or is it building written content off of ideas mentioned in the 50 videos? That’s where I’d need more context to scope properly.

3 and 4 don’t seem to have any additional work tied to it. Their plan to hire someone might mean that you could pitch building documentation of your process and training sessions to onboard that person when the time is right?

Once you get the details on #2, I’d use my hourly rate to determine what is the baseline cost and then I’d either bump it up or down based on how motivated I am to get that work. I usually like to give some options in pricing too, so maybe something like:
• on the low end could just be captions + additional topics
• a medium package could be captions + a set # of written pieces + additional topics
• a high end could be captions + a set # of written pieces + additional topics + process docs/training sessions.

In utility / JTBD focused scenarios, readers want to get right to the information they need and then move on. They don’t want a background story or even the higher level strategic “why” behind the answer. Great example of this is how food bloggers post a 1,500 word narrative around the story behind a recipe and all visitors want to do is scroll straight down to the instructions.
