Hi all, I am in Toronto as well happy to have this channel. I am working as a proposal writer these days as my main gig but still freelancing in content. Hope everyone is staying warm and productive

#general - December 31, 2024 at 11:25 PM

#job-listings - November 12, 2024 at 02:39 PM

#general - November 07, 2024 at 05:35 PM

The Content, Briefly videos on YouTube are good too https://youtube.com/@superpath?si=_IbooJbpijiH_j8s

Hey Christie welcome, great to have another Canadian/Ontarian here

#freelance-talk - November 02, 2024 at 07:35 PM

The user type is the same, you just don't post jobs.

Thought I would offer the Zapier option to not seem too HubSpot biased 😁

Do you mean an editorial content calendar?

I like HubSpot's and they have one for social content too.

I write articles for Hubspot so I am biased but their Hubspot Academy courses are helpful whether you are a beginner or even a few years in.

Selling links is

#general - October 28, 2024 at 05:56 PM

💯

#general - October 27, 2024 at 09:20 PM

If this is for sales follow up emails for an article on the topic, HubSpot has a good article on the topic: https://www.hubspot.com/sales/sales-follow-up-email

#general - October 27, 2024 at 09:18 PM

Assuming you are talking about following up on a proposal or discussion of your freelance services, I would suggest you keep the email as short and friendly as possible. Say you are looking to schedule your time because you have other clients asking for your services, and you want to make sure you can meet the prospect's timeliness by only take on as much as you can manage along with their workload. Communicate that you are looking to prepare yourself so you can accomodate their needs, not that you need the work and the money. Hope that helps.

#general - October 23, 2024 at 07:46 PM

I am really impressed with this Lex app that was mentioned in the email that was sent out today. At first I was skeptical about another AI writer app, but the free and Pro versions of the app. I will definitely be signing up for this app, it looks like it could really put competitive pressure on apps like Grammarly and Hemmingway. Good call on getting this company to sponsor. Looking forward to using this for various style guide applications.

#general - October 18, 2024 at 10:28 PM

Looks good to me in general on my Android phone. Does your app work with Hubspot Sales and Marketing Hubs? I write for their sales blog and might be able to work a mention into articles I am working on. You might want to change the order of the step descriptions for the How Air Traffic Control Works to go before the corresponding screenshot or image and maybe put thin borders around the image? Also I would change "Marketers have spent time and money" to just "Marketers spend" since it's on going and active that way.

Finally, I would change "Try our personalization playbooks" to "Check out our content personalization playbooks". Try is kind of ambiguous and I would specify the kind of personalization you are referring to a little stronger. Glad I ran across your post!

#freelance-talk - October 09, 2024 at 10:05 PM

I think you have to request Super Admin or Content Admin access if you are looking to post jobs or other posts for the company. See here for roles and permissions:

#hire-me - October 04, 2024 at 05:46 PM

After being a member of this community for a few years, I would strongly recommend that anyone posting intros or hire me promos add a profile image if they want to be successful here. I don't mean to single anyone out, but people buy from and engage with those they know like and trust, and a profile image goes further than you might think towards demonstrating authenticity here, just like on other social media channels. As someone who loosely resembles Uncle Fester, I am proof positive you don't have to have to be model material on Superpath. 😅

#general - October 03, 2024 at 03:28 PM

I believe in the past, members of this committee (with Jimmy's permission) have named these companies out in this community as opposed to on social media or online publicly. I'm assuming that the customer isn't a member of this community, but you may not want to call them out if they are members. Eric or Jimmy, correct me if I'm wrong but I think one or two companies were named before.

I think Erik's advice is good too.

Is the client saying they will pay you, or are they ignoring you? Did they give you payment terms or do you have a contract with payment terms in it?

#general - September 28, 2024 at 09:04 PM

Link selling isn't allowed in this community you should delete this.

#general - September 26, 2024 at 07:13 PM

Stay safe Melissa!

#general - September 25, 2024 at 06:32 PM

There was some talk about marketing conferences a couple of weeks ago before Inbound and Dreamforce happened last week I believe too. You can catch a lot of keynotes on YouTube for both, but unfortunately I haven't found any footage of John Mulaney (stand up comic, former SNL writer) who apparently roasted the crowd. I'm not currently on the paid plan but likely will subscribe next month with the new features. I say that because I haven't seen any buzz about Zap Connect, which was an interesting event about marketing and sales automation last year. Some interesting topics to check out: https://zapier.com/zapconnect

It looks great so far Maurice! I like the images and the one page navigation. The company logo carousel is great too, I imagine you will be adding links to website samples at some point. Nicely done!

#general - September 17, 2024 at 12:23 PM

Link swaps aren't allowed in this community please delete your post

#freelance-talk - September 16, 2024 at 05:08 PM

, that's it! Sorry i was having lunch with a friend

#freelance-talk - September 16, 2024 at 04:37 PM

Hubspot's Inbound is on YouTube live this week. I haven't been to CM World but there are some good speakers at Inbound which is sold out in person

#content-collab - September 15, 2024 at 01:59 AM

@Ronak Patel another typo you should grab is on the Our-Story page...Near the bottom it says something like "When you purchase our frame" it should be "When you purchase our frames". Not a biggie, but should be plural. I like the business model so I had another look.

#content-collab - September 14, 2024 at 08:04 PM

Great cause and the website looks excellent! Good catch Melissa!

#freelance-gigs - September 13, 2024 at 11:24 AM

You should delete this post though and I meant actually telling people about your services in #hire-me. This community is for connecting with other creatives it isn't intended as an Upwork preparation stop. Posting the same thing across multiple channels isn't allowed either. Good luck, you will get the hang of it.

#freelance-gigs - September 13, 2024 at 11:12 AM

Hey SuHaib good luck with your Upwork profile I am no expert but can you move this post to #freelance-talk. Or maybe create a post in #hire-me to. Market your services here. This channel is for posting freelance opportunities as an alternative to Upwork. ✌️

#freelance-talk - September 10, 2024 at 09:27 PM

Can I get some opinions on all of the newsletters offering freelance opportunities on a daily basis based on collections of LinkedIn, Twitter, and various job boards?

I find opportunities here in Superpath and similar closed communities are much better (though you often see leads from here in those newsletters). I guess it's kind of a double edged sword that you can find opportunities but they are typically buried with offers in a couple of hours. I can't imagine the inboxes of marketers doing shoutouts and then getting a tsunami of "Interested!" comments and DMs after. I generated business out of a few of them...has anyone else landed quality work? I wonder how many Superpath Marketplace submissions originated from those aggregator emails.

Some of the newsletters seem like the cast offs that the author isn't interested in. I'm not looking to start my own newsletter BTW,, and there are some good ones out there. Not looking to disparage anyone that runs these newsletters.

#CJE3XC0H3-announcements - August 27, 2024 at 10:11 PM

Are there any Superpath onesies available for that little one? 👶 and Jimmy's baby of course..haha.

#freelance-gigs - August 27, 2024 at 05:01 PM

I would say Alexandros is looking for clients to be sent his way. I would hope for a referral fee. By the looks of his LinkedIn profile, it looks like he would have to outsource the work or have GenAI do all the writing based on his serial entrepreneurism and other jobs. This should go in the #promo channel not here. If only people would read Jimmy's reminders in these channels.

#hire-me - August 27, 2024 at 02:52 AM

STOP because selling backlinks is forbidden here, and your post will be deleted soon.

#general - August 26, 2024 at 11:12 PM

Just use Google Workspace. Together with calendaring, Google Docs, Slides, etc it makes life a lot easier.

#general - August 20, 2024 at 08:17 PM

Hey @Faizan Qureshi good work on the article, but you should really move this to the #promo channel, or maybe #freelance-talk. I would suggest you make a statement about the value of a freelance marketing consultant. For example, many people do waste money on broad untargeted Google and Facebook Ad campaigns. It's an experienced pro that helps them save money. Also, "Contact with a digital marketing specialist today" is off grammatically (no need for with) and you should say "contact me, a digital marketing specialist". Just give the customer a sense of who you are instead of a generic title.

This channel is more for general discussions of content marketing strategies and resources and such. Just a friendly suggestions, Best of luck with the article.

I have a chair desk combo from Branch office furniture. It's comfortable and affordable. I used to have back pain from other chairs but their ergonomic chair is great. Branchfurniture.ca or Branchfurniture.com

#general - August 01, 2024 at 03:00 PM

I take it this is for a Clearvoice.com survey correct?

#freelance-gigs - July 31, 2024 at 07:44 PM

If a writer doesn't have food and beverage experience, but is willing to work for cookies, do you think the client would make an exception?

#freelance-gigs - July 31, 2024 at 02:35 PM

No problem, thank you!

#freelance-gigs - July 31, 2024 at 02:34 PM

Hey Nrusingha, if you scroll up and read the posts here you should see that this channel is for posting freelance gigs, not for promoting your agency's service. Your experience seems impressive, but you should move this to the #promo channel where it belongs. Or to promote your individual services, there's the #hire-me channel. Your message will be deleted if left here, so I thought I would encourage you to copy and paste it now. Most of us look for opportunities here, not refer leads to your agency. 💡

#job-listings - July 18, 2024 at 04:46 PM

Sorry Katie, I didn't mean for that comment to come across seriously. I thought the cowboy comment lightened things up but I should have added a smiley emoji. Just trying to help keep the community funded as Eric said.

#job-listings - July 18, 2024 at 01:24 PM

I think we have to change the smiling cowboy emoji to a frowny Lichfield policeman. People are improperly posting beaucoup jobs in this channel because they think that means Eric is still at the Stampede. Just wait until he pings over and reminds you this is just a feed from the paid job board.

#freelance-gigs - July 16, 2024 at 05:06 PM

Congrats on the new role! I applied earlier today, but seems like an awesome role.

#content-collab - July 15, 2024 at 10:42 AM

You can post it on the Help a B2B Writer website by clicking on the link above after "Writing an article?"
