Hey Jeffrey - I do something very similar to the bank of hours you mentioned. I tell clients my hourly rate and then tell them that they can buy batches of hours (minimum is 10 hours). Then I just keep track of my time and once I use up all the hours, I ask them to re-up. I haven't had much issues except sometimes clients ask if they buy smaller batches of hours (ie. 5 hrs instead of 10) but to protect my time and sanity I usually say no.

I track time using toggl as well. Like Sara, I use it to track how long certain tasks and projects take me. I find it helps me to focus knowing time is being tracked.
