Chiming in a bit late! This is one of the reasons I hardly ever use sites like - Help a B2B Writer - anymore. And I got terrible pitches even before ChatGPT. Think mom and pop plumbing companies responding to an article about migrating to a new ERP.
Honestly, what works better for me is to interview 1-3 real SMEs on the phone or sometimes async Loom interviews can work too.
Bonus points, it is much easier to get additional nuggets of wisdom live on a call since you can go down rabbit holes and ask follow-up questions. Makes for a stronger piece.
