Someone plagiarized [i.e. copied word by word] a past article of mine that's no longer live [company got acquired]. Problem is the website is pretty shady and besides a contact form, they don't seem to have employees on LinkedIn so I could contact them. Any recommendations?

also, this author has A LOT of posts that might be plagiarized as well. Any way to draw attention/report on this?

I'm just curious how you got to know they copied...like did you check or something

Posts are no longer live as client got acquired. Client just confirmed they didn't sell their content. This post is 100% the same as the one I still have in my drafts in Google Docs. You can find content like this through a simple plagiarism checker tool

Ugh this is really frustrating! I had something similar once—a new and shady “competitor” popped up in the space and had copied many sections / landing pages of our website onto theirs, word-for-word—sections that were still live(!) on our site even, which was bonkers to me.

I used a contact form to reach out but (obviously) no one ever got back to me. I was too busy to pursue it further so I don’t have much advice, but I feel you. If there’s any industry-specific boards / councils / leadership / groups, you might contact them or report it there.
