SEO content folks: What subscriptions do you invest in?

• I have Superpath Pro (REPRESENT) for social/networking/community
• A couple of AI tools like Wordtune and Gemini
• My website hosting provider
What else do you subscribe to personally (not from the client's side)? Clearscope? Ahrefs? 👀

Priscilla Tan January 24, 2025 at 08:55 AM

• Superpath Pro (whoop whoop!)
• Lex
• Elementor
• Fast Moose (hosting + web domain)
• Gmail
• ProWritingAid (lifetime subscription)
• Frase (also lifetime)
• Clicks.so
I'm canceling Authory and ButterDocs this year, because I'm not using it as much as I like, so... 🙃

I grab a one-month sub to SEMRush or Ahrefs usually once a year to do some bulk analysis of projects I’ve worked on and get some nice numbers for pitches / case studies, as relevant. But I don’t subscribe on an ongoing basis. If I do a big strategy project and my client doesn’t have a subscription already, I’ll sign up for the duration of that project too.

Wethos for proposal and invoices, Slack, Growth Memo, Screaming Frog. I use all my clients SEO tools/accounts (Semrush, Ahrefs, etc.)

@Priscilla Tan curious - do you use Frase mostly for the on-page optimization or do you use the content generation stuff?

I’ll add SparkToro for some unique, audience-based insight. Love it.

@Olivia Barrow I mainly use it to analyze the headings in ranking posts actually! I like having everything in one place. Occasionally, I use it for on-page optimization. Never used the content generation stuff 😄

Content Harmony - for research and outlining (it is excellent). I use my clients' Clearscope. I pay for Bluedot which is a combo of Loom, Grain, and Zoom (highly recommend).
