Hey folks, I have a content strategy related question. One of my prospects asked me to prepare an estimation for growth and traffic to lead conversion for the months we're supposed to collaborate. This estimation takes only organic search into account as we want to separate it from other channels.
did someone did such estimations before? From my experience, the first 3months or even 6months are rather unpredictable and work is focused on establishing a content program. Yet, I think they'd like to get specific estimate to set goals that are challenging. I prepared some growth insights but would love to pick other strategists' brains. 😄
Question - you "think" that they want. Is this is a good opportunity to get clear and ask if they want clear KPIs? Sometimes clients want to concentrate on building the rhythm. Could this be an opportunity to get clear?
Yeah, so they wanted challenging yet achievable goal outline and I planned to do it via estimation of growth + demo signups.
what do you mean by building the rhythm?
By "building the rhythm", I mean that, if you're starting from scratch, sometimes unfocussed clients are keen to just get everything working.
Ah, thanks for clarifying. So we decided to focus on quick wins over setting up strategy, audit and all that from the beginning. These things will happen but we want to get as many improvement in 3m as possible (organic, high-intent keywords).
