A client seems to be treating me and other freelancers as part of their marketing team. Is that alright?

Over a month ago, they did a LinkedIn feature on Introducing our Writers of sorts. I didn't know about it until I was tagged. Now, they're running a "Life at (Client's company) - Social Media Feature" and I'm not sure if that's something a client should do with freelancers.

I want to know your opinions on this— btw, I may appreciate the publicity. I just think it's a bit unusual, weird?
