hi hi boston folks! fun to see some familiar faces and new ones (to me) in here too! What are y’alls favorite restaurants in the area? Or favorite coffee shops for working if you work remotely? 👀

I love working at Jaho Coffee/Wine -- there's a few locations around. I'm slightly north of Boston and recently found a little oasis at The Studio Cafe in Woburn.

@Lisa Kalner Williams, when I had to take my cat to a vet hospital for treatments in Burlington (a bit of a trek but worth it), I discovered The Studio Cafe to work at during longer wait times.

Sorry about your cat's treatments, @Dana Fugate -- but cool that you've also discovered the cafe! They also have silent book clubs at night which I hope to get to in the near future.

I have been going to the Capital One cafe a little bit in Seaport - it's free to work there, and if your a CO card member it's half off of coffees. I am considering trying out the WeWork in Charlestown too. And have been to a coworking spot in Melrose too (I'm in Malden).

@Lisa Kalner Williams @Dana Fugate oooh, the Studio Cafe looks so cozy!! I’ll have to check it out sometime. @Chloe Thompson that’s so funny, I was just saying to a friend yesterday how I’m always getting ads for Capital One cafes and was wondering if they were any good and if anyone works from there! Do you prefer a coworking spot or a coffee shop?

The coffee shop was nice, it was a good buzz which I like as I get too distracted if it's too quiet and because it's set up more TO work I felt like it had good outlets/chairs, etc.. The one in Melrose was VERY quiet the couple times I've been there, but I bought a 5-time pass so I'll be going there a few more times for sure, it's very convenient.

I absolutely loved the Seaport WeWork but couldn't stomach the fee. My work does pay for some of the coworking space but not all, and it wasn't worth it.

It has been a few years, but I used to work at the Cafe Nero in Ft Point when I needed a break. Busy, but good wifi (have your VPN going!) and some nice nooks.

Caffe nero's are solid all over. The one by the burlington mall is a favorite of mine.
