Compensation question: What might a mid- to senior-level editorial person -- 8+ years experience as a writer, editor and project manager with client management skills — be able to command at an agency either for salary + benefits or a freelance hourly rate? Thanks!

What is the title this person would be going after?

Managing editor perhaps?

Yep!

Thanks so much

any time!

My in-house experience as a managing edition (remote) suggests closer to the 80-90K range. Six figures seems a little high, but it's amazing if you can swing it!

To clarify, I do own an agency — we don't have a managing editor but that would likely be our range. With benefits, I can see the package hitting 100K
