What software/payment processors is everybody using to collect automatic retainer payments?

You can charge the client's card using platforms like Stripe or Wave Payments. Both charge a commission fee for processing card payments. Wave Payments has some of the lowest credit card processing fees and offers a simple, free accounting software that integrates with their invoicing module. They also have options for instant payment for an additional small fee. 1 π button π button Explain this Answer button π @Mark Burdon Auto generated by Truffle AI. Every client of mine pays via direct bank transfer, per my terms and conditions in my contract.
What country are you in?

Spendesk

I do direct deposit or Stripe. Stripe has been really great for me to be able to collect international payments and it does auto currency conversion for me. Of course there is a fee but I often price it into my services on purpose.

Wise and Payoneer. I prefer Wise over Payoneer due to the conversion rate, but I havenβt figured out how to set up automatic payments in Wise.

QuickBooks has an auto-payment feature, but it's so clunky I haven't ended up using it. On the first invoice it gives the client the option to enroll in auto-pay, but if they choose not to, it just auto-emails the invoice like regular and they can manually pay it each time. So it would save me the leg work of building the invoice every month, but there's not a very strong push on QB's part to get the client to check that little auto-pay box.
Maybe incentivizing the client to check that little box (like a %5 discount on their first invoice if they enroll in autopay) would be enough to get them to accept the option?
I've heard another freelancer mention using Freshbooks for auto-pay. Anyone around here have experience with that option?
