Clearscope for ease of use. Surfer is good too but has a bit of a learning curve if you really want to max out your content. Frase is super easy to use and I’d recomment it for optimizing your existing content.

I've heard that about surfer. I've been intimidated but want to get my nerd hat on

SurferSEO goes one step beyond Clearscope in that it has rules for images, headings, content length and more. Achieving a 90+ score in SurferSEO is significantly harder than achieving an A++ score in Clearscope.

NeuronWriter seems to work decently (a bit clunky, and I’m not 100% sure about the data accuracy, but it’s very cost-effective so there’s that…)

• 1 for Content Harmony and Clearscope. Both are best in breed (in my fairly limited experience!)

Is NeuronWriter similar to Marketmuse? It's a little clunky but the pricing has me rn. Hoping to commit to something a level up

I'll throw in another vote for Surfer. I prefer it to Clearscope!

@Georgette Hey, I'd recommend trying our tool - Narrato. The platform helps to optimize content for readers as well as search engines, with readability, grammar & plagiarism checks.

Positional is new - can't recommend because I haven't used it, but I did demo the product. Definitely in its infancy, but some cool features.

@Georgette I’d say Neuron is more of a Frase/ SurferSEO copycat, rather than Marketmuse. But as I said, it’s not my absolute favorite (bar from the cost effectiveness which could be a factor)

For a good cost to quality ratio I’d recommend Frase, though. And if you can spend more, Surfer or Clearscope (I like Surfer more tbh)

@Amna Aslam I think it's a bit better at helping you assemble briefs and understanding the competitive landscape in search for a given topic. The scoring methodology is both a bit more robust and also easier to grok in my estimation. Both are good tools, I think Surfer just has a bit more going for it.

@Octavia Drexler @Mile Zivkovic Have you seen NeuronWriter's recent UI update? It's muuuuch improved. Released a week or so ago.

@Lisa Kalner Williams, yes, just used Neuron this week. I use it simultaneously with Clearscope, Surfer and Frase and it is my least favorite of them all

If you're publishing on a WordPress website, the YOAST plugin is fab.
