19 good templates here: https://www.contentharmony.com/blog/content-brief-template-examples/

Most are editorial / blog article style.

Also interested in this, but more broadly, ie how do briefs provide the org the opportunity to define the type of content (blog, case study, webinar, etc)?

@Jason Faber key elements imo:

• url slug
• primary topic/focus
• unique angle you want to be taken (should match companies value prop or market positioning)
• content objective/goal/purpose (this has to do with search intent / stage of buyers journey)
• word count
• internal links to include
• semantically relevant phrases or topics you want writer to keep in mind
• High level concepts for headings, H2s with a few bullet points underneath
• any special resources they should reference (ressearch reports, cmpetitors, internal memos, etc)
hope that helps, happy to send a voice note or soemthing else to talk through specifics

formatting doesn't matter as much if you have these ^

thanks, yeah I know all these things, I was more so looking for an actual template document. A client of mine was asking for one

Ken November 20, 2024 at 09:39 PM

fascinating. I'm always one to create my own templates based on unique needs hence the bullet points but in this case totally makes sense to just want the doc pre formatted. hope things went well with the client my man!
