Is it just me…. or is ChatGPT getting worse? I’ve been leaning on it to kick start a few intro’s — and they are completely unusable. Instead of just one AI trope, it stuffs all those words in there - evolving, innovative, realm, testament, embracing, pioneer
woof

Agreed, agreed. Lately it makes a lot of mistakes, 'forgets' the details you provide and is a lot more robotic.
I think it's done to push people into subscribing for the premium version.

But I’m using the premium version! haha

😅 ha lol. Seems you're locked in its 'treasure trove'.

I too have the premium version and yesterday I asked it for a short, concise introduction and it came back with a 4 paragraph monstrosity. And to be fair, I asked Bard (or whatever it's called these days) the same thing. It came back with 3 paragraphs of hot garbage. 👎

“Model drift” or model decay is a real thing! (the concept that machine learning models get worse over time)
I’ve had more success with other LLMs (
is my go-to) but I’ve still found it’s not nearly as creative or inventive as it was a year ago. All of the output is so obviously AI in 95% of cases, and I use it for mostly brainstorming and giving me an outline to work from rather than exact language to use.
Agreed that Claude has been a lot better. It’s also an argument for tools like
that are super expensive, but you have a lot more control.
Writer is expensive now? I canceled my sub long ago, because I didn’t get enough value out of it. Sell me on it now?
Not for general copy, but I’ve been using perplexity for descriptions “What is XXX?” type copy.

writer has gone wholly into enterprise. It’s all essentially custom GPTs, custom inputs, etc.

So the $18 a month with Writer isn’t as valuable as the Enterprise

It's only ever gonna be as good as the stuff it's being fed, and if it keeps getting fed generic versions of its own content...

correct, @Jessica McKeil - same with Jasper, ChatGPT, etc. The enterprise versions are a totally different game. Also a good argument for using something like Cloudflare to access LLMs and wholly customize inputs

Gotta say the new Claude 3 Opus is blowing ChatGPT 4 out of the water these days
