Hi everyone! So I have a question that I just suddenly came to my mind today. Is it just me or people don't usually use videos on their LinkedIn and would it be weird to use Tiktok/reels videos on your LinkedIn? Have you seen anyone that did that? Because LinkedIn seems like a very serious judge-y app and I thought something like this will be looked down upon. But, I also want to see LinkedIn creators with some engaging video content or is that the Gen-Z in me talking? 😄

Absolutely not the Gen Z in you talking! This is a valid question. In my experience, there are plenty of LinkedIn creators using video (including repurposing reels and TikTok videos) to engage their audience.

As a SMM I’m all about experimenting. Give it a try for a month or so and keep an eye on key metrics (these will depend on your goals.) If you see things moving in the right direction, keep at it! If not, you can always stop and redirect.

My buddy Alex Su does it a lot in the legal space. Really his TikTok-to-LinkedIn flow is his whole growth model. He talks about it here… https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/pearls-on-gloves-off/id1620908192?i=1000565388820

It depends on the topic of your tiktoks and if they fit your LinkedIn brand. Stephen G Pope of SGP studios reuses tiktoks all day.

I've seen a lot of marketers in my network who use videos. Sometimes they even reshare the videos from other networks. There was even a debate over whether the watermark from the other network helps you or not, I think it does because it shows viewers that you have a larger audience than your LinkedIn network.
