Hey, what are your favorite questions to ask on a discovery call? Context - this founder reached out to me and needs content writing support, but that is all the information I have.
Never had a set discovery process, but business objectives for content, why now, why me, timeline, and budget should cover most of it 😅
If this is a lead discovery call, my go-to questions are:
• How did you discover me (if it's an inbound lead - this question just sets the tone and gives you an idea of why they're looking for you in the first place)
• Where can I help you as a writer/consultant?
• Have you ever outsourced this before?
• Last is the hard question, what's their investment budget?
Other than this, I ask questions based on the conversations as it flows.
