can someone share links to what is Google's stance on ranking AI generated content? Does it or does it not rank well? For some reason, I can't find reliable info

I'd say beyond useful, it needs to be unique. If it's useful but the same as a lot of other content out there, and your domain doesn't have much authority, then Google will not reward the content with ranking.
