Hi, does anyone here use Loom? Would love to know your experience with the video messaging tool, including any key features you particularly like and the purposes for which you use it.
It would be helpful if you could also share your Loom link, so I can include it in my article.

If I realize an email response would be far too long or if I have some detailed feedback to share after a workshop with a client, I create a Loom. Clients appreciate how easy they are to consume and they have the option of tuning in or sticking to the transcript (though they typically prefer to listen).
I think it’s particularly helpful for strategy notes because of the level of nuance that oral communication can provide.

I LOVE Loom as a freelance writer and editor, both for giving and receiving feedback. I typically use to to scroll through a document and add context to the edits I’ve provided, or to mouse over sections that need significant structural edits. (And vice versa when receiving edits.)
It’s often helpful to hear someone talk through their edits, rather than just sending Google Docs, but that doesn’t necessarily need to be a two-way conversation (with all the hassle of scheduling, time zones, chatting about the weather for three minutes at the beginning, etc.).
This is silly, but I also really appreciate occasionally getting to see and hear my clients! I don’t actually interact face-to-face with many of my clients, so the occasional Looms go a long way toward reminding one another that we’re people.

I love Loom! I also use it to provide clearer context to edits so I can give my explanation with a video. It was replaced so many calls!
