Hey everyone, what are some of the best ways to prevent fraud in influencer marketing? Looking for firsthand insights and quotes for an article titled: Preventing fraud in influencer marketing!
What types of fraud are you referring to? On the part of the brand? Creator? Intermediaries?
Hi @David C Hoos, brands looking to scout influencers are the target audience. So, looking for ways to prevent fraud on the part of creators and intermediaries.
At our agency, if we come in contact with someone who says they exclusively represent a creator, we often will confirm that with the creator themselves. We've had more folks than we like to admit present themselves as the exclusive rep for someone…only to find out they had parted ways or had a falling out.

Always ask influencers for detailed stats on their account and followers. Nowadays there’s plenty of programs that analyze fake followers. The obvious would be have contracts signed with clear expectations.
