I've been working out how to make our podcast blog posts more useful, so I've added a) time-stamped key takeaways and b) a full transcript to our latest article:
would appreciate some feedback! anything you'd change/add/remove? goal is better accessibility and UX π

This is great! First time Iβve seen time-stamped transcripts. Personal preference: would like to see the key takeaways above the fold.

So glad to see transcripts added! I listen to the podcasts while going for a run or walking around my neighborhood and there are often tactical recommendations I want to come back to when Iβm at my desk later. The transcript makes these a lot more actionable/valuable. And +1 to @Al Chenβs suggestion of putting Key Takeaways above the fold.

Love the timestamped links to the part of the podcast, wish there was a podcast player that would let this be done all on-site instead of redirecting to Revβs site π

This is awesome. Love the key takeaways idea. Would be great if each takeaway section included a clip + the transcript. This is easier said than done, but I know Casted offers an audio clipping feature as part of their product. The bonus of such is that you get some great bite-sized podcast content to share on social (which still shows up in your stream/download analytics).

i love the transcripts. i'm not a great auditorial learner so i almost always prefer reading. there are dozens of us!

really cool ryan

and a great podcast ep too

appreciate the feedback! I hear ya on the "above the fold" point, great idea

@Alex Panagis @Kiel Hauck you have both described ideas I would LOVE to include, just need to work out if the technology exists π
will check out Casted for sure!

@Jessie Wood turns out there are a bunch of us!

Whoa, this is such a great layout for show notes! π Excited for how many more episodes I can dig through now. I wish more podcasts did this.
How time intensive was pulling all this together @Ryan Law?

@Laura Bosco actually not as bad as I expected, maybe an hour? I made life easy for myself by creating an agenda for the podcast episode before recording, so I already knew what the key takeaways were - then just a matter of pulling some good snippets from the transcript π

π π that's really fantastic
