i got halfway through that and wandered off to do soemthing else

as an admin, i can only make one channel “admin only” and it has to be the original general channel

so i did some research and found that some community managers do it this way, then create a new general

That is so weird that you can only do it that way...

slack is not really built for this use case (creating and hosting a community), but it works well for it many ways
