I have a guy who could do it but he is UK based and expensive. He normally just ‘gets it’ though and will send you what you need on time

Hey Gijs - best practice is definitely to create a country specific batch as opposed to having an incorrect plug.

If you're just looking to do a bit of testing it may be fine, but long term I'd fear that it'd undermine your brand somewhat :)

hi all, we are currently looking to expand more on bol.com and amazon and want to put more stock FBA/LVB. We work with Monta for our regular fulfillment. However, they are not so keen on shipping the products to amazon / bol.com for us.

For that reason, we are looking for another logistical partner that can help us with ‘prepping’ shipments for amazon / bol.com. We are currently working with cargomate.nl, but our experience with them is terrible. Preferably the company helping with this is based in the Netherlands.

Any tips?

We launched our new suitcase model last week, but we want to ditch some old stock as soon as possible. Does anyone know the best buyer of overstock in NL/BE?
Or maybe anyone has experienced this ‘’issue’' before and has some tactics to quickly empty their stock? All ideas are very welcome!

We did a name change from demassagewinkel.com to Zengrowth.nl last year. We can hop on a call and I’ll explain you our experience and what I would have done differently this time if you want.

In general the difference between brand registration is not very big if everything goes fine. The moment someone is objecting your registration, the difference in service can vary

Yeah that sounds like it needs a government rethink…

Kasper - LABFRESH July 10, 2025 at 03:03 PM

yeah same for us. Unfortunately bonuses are taxed way higher in NL than regular wage tax. So stock appreciation rights and profit-sharing end up at a crazy 51% flat tax rate 😖

Fred - Out'n'About July 10, 2025 at 02:01 PM

It’s taxed like rest of salary depending on income bracket, not treated differently to regular pay slip. Most tax efficient shares for employees in UK is called the EMI scheme which is only taxed at a 10% capital gain value. But we found employees don’t really get it, and can only really use it if you can also guarantee a liquidity event which I’m not necessarily working towards.

Kasper - LABFRESH July 10, 2025 at 01:00 PM

interesting Fred! What’s the taxation on that in the UK? Our board claims our employees will be charged 51% tax (like om bonuses) from phantom shares and SARs, no matter what. Which I hate.

We’re currently selling on Bol.com and using the OSS scheme to pay VAT on orders shipped from the Netherlands to Belgian customers.

We’ve also started selling on Amazon Germany, where we hold inventory in Amazon’s DE warehouse. We have a German VAT number, and AVASK manages our German VAT submissions for orders shipped to German customers.

However, Amazon also ships from the DE warehouse to other EU countries, including the Netherlands (our home country). These cross-border shipments should be reported under OSS.

We’re completely stuck on how to handle all these variations. We’ve downloaded reports from Amazon, but we’re not sure which ones to use or how to record everything correctly in our accounting software (Yuki).

Does anyone here have experience dealing with this situation?

Fred - Out'n'About July 09, 2025 at 04:54 PM

It’s hard to get personal performance metrics right in a way that’s fair (ie totally in the individuals control) and without side effects (ie they optimise for personal metrics instead of total company EBITDa)

Fred - Out'n'About July 09, 2025 at 04:53 PM

Hi Tim we have this. Depending on seniority everyone gets a % of EBItDA above the hurdle we set for the year, at the end of the year. Only thing that changes is payment based on seniority not individual performance / contribution.

so if they agree it in principle and bad times happen. Don't be surprised when they're less willing to accept this. They are employees after all with very limited risk appetite.

Risk is the founders role!

Kunal Raja July 09, 2025 at 09:46 AM

or the foresight to actually understand this

Kunal Raja July 09, 2025 at 09:46 AM

<@U08A1P055F1> good idea - but be mindful that employees (in my experience) rarely have the risk appetite to be satisfied with the downsides

@here Really excited to see everyone in Soho House this evening! We thought it would be helpful to send a deck (HERE!) of those attending to help break the ice! 🧊

Clicking photos brings you through to Founders LinkedIn's & Brand names brings you through to everyone's site :)

Excited for a great night!! 🎉

p.s. There are several people who were marked as +1's so may not show up in the deck!

Kasper - LABFRESH July 09, 2025 at 08:52 AM

I think thats a great ide! Did you hear about this? https://winstdelen.com

I think it could work well for us.

Right now we have SARs, but in my experience Dutchies don’t care enough about this for it to have an impact on salary levels. It’s just a nice lottery ticket for them, on top of the salary.

Thanks for flagging! I have updated the calendar invite

Patrick Crowley July 08, 2025 at 01:22 PM

What tools do people use to manage inventory - when products will be out of stock, how to to re-order based on forecasts etc?

Fred - Out'n'About July 02, 2025 at 12:20 PM

@here anyone have an expert in Google shopping they can recommend?

Nick Marsden June 27, 2025 at 07:40 AM

Morning community - can anyone recommend a good 3PL in the UK & Europe? My current provider covers us across the UK & Europe but the European operation in the Netherlands is letting us down from a service point of view and the storage charges across both sites is crazy - almost 5x what we pay in the US and Canada. If anyone has any recommendations that would be amazing. Or does anyone have their own warehouse or thinking about setting one up that would be interested in a joint venture in cost sharing? Any suggestions would be amazing! thanks guys!
