I may depend on what you agreed upon, but even if they would help us on this, the costs of sending it lvb / fba via monta would be way higher than shipping it directly via monta

#ask-the-community - July 18, 2025 at 02:40 PM

hi all, we are currently looking to expand more on bol.com and amazon and want to put more stock FBA/LVB. We work with Monta for our regular fulfillment. However, they are not so keen on shipping the products to amazon / bol.com for us.

For that reason, we are looking for another logistical partner that can help us with ‘prepping’ shipments for amazon / bol.com. We are currently working with cargomate.nl, but our experience with them is terrible. Preferably the company helping with this is based in the Netherlands.

Any tips?

We did a name change from demassagewinkel.com to Zengrowth.nl last year. We can hop on a call and I’ll explain you our experience and what I would have done differently this time if you want.

In general the difference between brand registration is not very big if everything goes fine. The moment someone is objecting your registration, the difference in service can vary

hi all, anyone that has recently upgraded from shopify to shopify plus? We have just received an analysis from a Shopify account manager stating that they think upgrading to shopify plus can help us to increase AOV by +-7% and conversion rate by +-5% by having extra checkout functionallity.

Personally, I am a little skeptical about this. However, I am curious to hear your views on this. Anyone has seen an increase like this after upgrading?

The 1 day view attribution setting cost us a lot of money last year…

If I could do it all over again, I’d recommend mainly analyzing your overall store ROAS instead

I can also highly recommend Luc de bruin!

we are very satisfied with transexperts.nl. Their service is outstanding!

Thanks @Kasper - LABFRESH? How do you determine the quality of the writing case when you don’t master the foreign language?

#growth-and-marketing - March 14, 2025 at 07:42 PM

we are currently trying to better understand why our french website zengrowth.fr is converting way worse than our dutch website zengrowth.nl

We hired a French CRO agency to better understand, and the main issue seems to be with the copywriting. We hired a native speaker for translating our dutch store, but according to the agency some of the translations are still off.

We don’t have any native French speaker in our team at the moment, so it is hard to check the work delivered.

So my questions are:
1. how are you checking the work delivered by translators in a foreign language you don’t master?
2. What do you feel like is the best way to expand to a foreign country in terms of team structure?
a. Do you hire a remote translator / VA and make him / her in charge of the country as a country manager?
b. Do you hire a (in our case) French native in your home country (Netherlands)?
c. Do you hire someone in charge of all foreign expansion (germany, france, etc.) that does not master all the languages / cultures, and make them responsible for communicating with the translators for each country, researching the markets, and setting up the right strategy?
d. any other option

We are very satisfied about inventory-planner.com it gives a lot more transparency than optiply in the forecasting

They also offer a subscription based option, in which you just pay them per month. We discuss the websites we would like to place a link at for the next 6 months at once, so we don’t need to look into this anymore.

quite satisfied with linkbuildingmasters.nl. However, you gotta explain them well you are only looking for high quality links

We have launched a loyalty program beginning this month. It’s hard to say what this exactly will bring in yet, but the first replies from our customers were good.

We have considered it and spook with a few massage therapist about this. Many of them prefer not, as the amount of massage oil they use differs from month to month (people book more massage in winter than in summer).

On the other hand, we have not tested it yet. We are considering testing it in a couple of months once our loyalty program is fully known by our customers.

20%. We faced many penalties from transporters because of our bulky items. We are also going to focus on reducing it this year.

If I deduct the charged shipping expenses towards clients we get to 17%.

Nope

Hi all, we have been noticing very high bounce rates (2-3%) on our klaviyo email campaigns in the last weeks. First i thought it had to do with inactive customers, but now also emails to active clients seem te be bouncing. Is anyone experiencing a similar trend?

We’ve discussed with our email marketeer, but he also doesn’t seem to get a good hold on this yet.

I have no clue what she is currently charging, we worked with her 1.5-2 years ago and then we had a monthly plan with her for 1.800 Euros. It will probably be a bit higher by now.

We got a credit on our current account from our traditional bank (Dutch bank Rabobank) we do all our banking with. I thought it would be a hassle.

In the end, it was way easier than expected. We signed up online, we had one call with a sales representative after, their software looked at our transaction over the last few years, and he gave us a €100k credit allowance on our current account. After that, I received the contract the same day, I signed it, and 2 working days later we had it reflected in our bank account.

Personally I really liked the idea of a current account credit, because it means you only pay for the debt the moment you actually need to use it.

Thanks for the tips @Anders Reckendorff!

On average our return rate is around 15% within 6 months and 21% within 12 months @Kasper - LABFRESH. This is based over the whole product category. We see customers tend to change the smell depending on the season (e.g. more winter smells like eucalyptus in the winter, more summer smells like coconut in the summer).

I recently calculated the purchase retention rate of our massage oils for first time customers. The results were a bit shocking in my opinion. I personally had the feeling the retention rate would have been at least double of what the data shows.

So far, we have had very little negative feedback on our products, and most people seem to be very positive overall.

For other brands with consumable products, what are things you have done that have helped to increase the retention rate?

Hi all, I’m Koen van der list, founder of Zengrowth (www.zengrowth.nl). We’re a massage brand focused on providing the best massage products to relaxation massage therapists. It is our goal to provide the best equipment, in order to magnify the healing hands of massage therapist.

Our assortment ranges from massage tables, to massage oils, to massage textiles to all types of accessories. Currently, we’re active in the Netherlands, Belgium and France. Earlier this year, we launched in Germany too, but we figured out it was a bit too early for our company and decided to ‘pause’ the store for now.

Looking forward to meeting you all!
