I’m testing this right now in our account. ABO for testing and then moving winners to ASC scaling campaign. Only been running a week so too early to judge.

Knocommerce is good

If it’s sitewide and targeting everyone, we’ve always gone automatic to reduce friction.

Question for people who sell internationally and run Meta ads…
Do you split out your scaling campaigns per country (EG: £2k a day for UK, £2k a day for USA, £2k a day for Australia etc) or, do you create one core campaign, group all of the countries in it and then have a £6k a day budget?

Thanks!

Where does everyone get their creators to send content to? We’ve tried whatsapp business but it’s hard to manage over multiple devices. Also tried Air, but it’s too slow to upload videos etc. Any other recommendations?

#ask-the-community - January 14, 2025 at 11:44 AM
We haven’t seen any increase in our Klaviyo account
#ask-the-community - January 14, 2025 at 09:12 AM
Our business is the same. Jan/Feb are slow months where you begin doubting your strategy. Then things ramp up again in March.
Trick is not to rip up the playbook and make crazy changes. Trust the process

I’ll have a look at haus and other similar platforms. Thanks @Sem - Sassy Saints

I want to test running a reach campaign in Meta, targeting a specific city. Aim is to push brand style ads out to as many people as possible for awareness.
I want to see if over a 3-6 month period there is an incremental lift in sales from the city we’re targeting.
Issue is I have no idea how to accurately track this? Are there any tools out there that can do it? Or do I need to manually pull reports from GA/shopify and work out the sales increase.
Thanks
#growth-and-marketing - December 04, 2024 at 01:58 PM
@Kasper - LABFRESH - no we haven’t tried it before. Worth testing though.
#growth-and-marketing - December 04, 2024 at 08:48 AM
@Patrick Crowley didn’t affect it at all. Over BF people are expecting dozens of emails in their inbox, so it wasn’t out of the ordinary.
This month we’ll clean up our mailing list and suppress people who’ve been latent for months. Saves on Klaviyo fees
#growth-and-marketing - December 03, 2024 at 08:06 PM
@Sem - Sassy Saints Firstly congrats on a successful BF and for sharing your learnings.
Few things we did that worked really well for us this BF:
• Significantly cranked up Meta spend from August through to end of October. We sacrificed efficiency acquiring more customers, but both our email list size and customer base grew. Come our BF sale we had much larger owned audience to market to, which resulted in our biggest revenue and profit month ever. Non-customers consideration window around 3 months, and new customers on average make a second purchase after 3 months, so this tied in nicely with BF.
• During our BF sale (which started 21st) for the first time ever we ran awareness ads on FB to our engaged audience. My theory was that customers need to be aware of our sale, and so we used this alongside email, sms and our members group to get that message out. Worked really well.
• Kept our evergreen FB ads running, but ended up reducing budgets as performance was dipping longer into the sale.
• An ASC campaign was also live, but again, we saw CPA’s rising the further we got into the sale, so reduced budgets on that as well.
• Offer wise we kept it simple and did 30% off sitewide. Auto discounts at checkout for less friction.
• Also launched some aggressive post purchase upsell offers which bumped AOV. Offered more discount on these offers.
• Sent an email a day. Then last few days of sale upped it to 2-3 with urgency messages. Some of our non-customers have been on our list for months. Way I see it is if they don’t buy now, then they likely never will. So market to them till they buy or die.
• On launch day we did 3 live events in our members group (has around 28k customers in). The morning one did well, but the other two didn’t. Next year we’ll consolidate it into an evening event and gamify it more.
In summary, most of the work for BF is done in the months beforehand (acquiring more customers at lower efficiency and building mailing list). So come sale time we keep everything as simple as possible to maximise contribution margin.

Lifetimely is good for this
#meta-ads - November 27, 2024 at 06:37 PM
Testing is between 10-20% of our scaling budget. It fluctuates though. If the testing campaign is going well I’ll bump spend on it.
#meta-ads - November 27, 2024 at 12:31 PM
I throw all new creatives into 1 ASC testing campaign. Winners are the ones that eat up the most spend. I then duplicate them into our scaling campaign.
Upside to this strategy is I’m not burning cash on ad creatives that would never work (like you could end up doing if you had multiple ad sets for each creative). Everything is in one testing campaign, so the best ads would get the lions share of the budget, the losers won’t get any spend.
The aim is for any new creatives to try and knock off the current winning ad.

Hi all. Anyone successfully doing TikTok lives? We want to get involved but have no idea best practices to get started etc. Happily pay for an hour of someone’s time to give me some insights. Thanks. Tom
#ask-the-community - November 13, 2024 at 03:44 PM
We use Planit for traditional publisher affiliates which has been good. They’re UK based
#ask-the-community - November 13, 2024 at 01:55 PM
We’re in the UK and our 3PL costs amount to 13% of turnover
#meta-ads - November 05, 2024 at 08:15 PM
Be interested to hear people’s FB strategy for Black Friday.
We’re continuing to run our evergreen campaigns all the way through November whilst closely monitoring daily CPA’s.
Then we’re going to have a separate ASC campaign for BF ads. Only throwing in 15 creatives - all different concepts/angles to give FB chance to find a winner. We’ll then maybe create iterations of that winner quickly.

Any recommendations for wholesale integrations/apps for Shopify? We sell to salons and stores across the UK so want to make it easier for them to re-purchase without manually sorting invoices etc. Thanks

Yeah great idea Patrick.
@Jenni Bailey - Calla shoes principles are the same whether you’re doing £20k or 100 so that will be valuable

Anyone here spending £100k per month of meta ads and interested in doing a monthly call to discuss what’s working well and what isn’t etc. We’re running everything in house.

The UX is great, but as your list grows the costs are ridiculous. We’re testing sendlane at the minute to see if it’s any good, as we could save £5k a year in fees if we moved to them.
#introductions - August 14, 2024 at 03:56 AM
Hi everyone. I’m Tom, co-founder of Merwave.
We create hair care products for women with wavy hair.
Business was born after my wife couldn’t find suitable products for waves (everything was for curly hair).
We’re currently 95% DTC. Other 5% is through salons.
All UK. However we’ve just began shipping to the US and Europe via Openborder.
Main strengths are paid FB/IG ads, which has always been our main acquisition channel.
We use my wife, Abi, as the face of the brand which resonates with our target audience. Do a lot of street interviews and laid back tutorials etc.
Looking forward to connecting with you all to help grow together.
