Awesome thanks all – appreciate the gut check. I’m working with a brand that’s trying to spend upwards of $50k/day in a really high CAC category, and hasn’t done enough creative testing to date. Realistically I think we’ll be able to test more like 2x/month than weekly, which might be better anyway algo-wise.

Do folks have strong preferences on meta creative testing structure these days? For example, if I have a new batch of ads weekly, is it less disruptive to the algo to drop those ads into one existing testing ad set (and only start a new one once you’ve hit the 50 ad limit), or create a new ad set with that batch of creatives in a testing CBO campaign?

Shipping cost gut check: Our shipping costs through our 3PL for a ~15 oz product that costs $25 are currently hovering between $12-$16 depending on zone, which seems kind of crazy to me. Is this normal or are we being ripped off here??

Does anyone know how to set up inventory in Shopify for a product that has different quantities as variants, such that available inventory pulls from a shared total? Is an app needed to do this?

Example:
If I sell candy in a 10-piece box and a 20-piece box, and have 100 pieces on hand, I can sell EITHER 10 10-piece boxes OR 5 20-piece boxes, but NOT both

Another note - if you offer subscriptions, some subscription providers aren't compatible with installment payments. I'm sure there are ways around this / safeguards you can put up, but we learned the hard way we had people who paid for subscriptions who never received them because our sub platform couldn't process installments

I think a better way to ask this question re Shopify payment processing is in a few parts:

• Shopify always charges a transaction fee, regardless of your payment processor, correct?
• If you also use Shopify as your payment processor, is there an incremental processing fee on top of the transaction fee, or no?
• If you use a different payment processor like Stripe, you should expect to pay Shopify transaction fees and Stripe payment processing fees, yes? Or is this disadvantageous?

Static ads also typically have a lower CPM than video. Your CPMs do still feel a bit high for video, but may be worth testing some statics to bring your avg down. Ultimately CPM doesn't really matter if you're happy with your ROAS, but it obviously eats into your ROAS on the flipside

What kind of targeting are you using? Not always but typically, there's a correlation between tighter targeting and higher CPMs
