Hey family! I hope all is well. We’re on the hunt for some creditors for inventory financing without terrible terms. I’d love any suggestions or intros to lenders you trust. Thank you 🙂

Hi everyone! I’m a bootstrapped founder working to secure capital for my first production run. I ran a Kickstarter that helped but fell short of the full amount needed. Since then, I’ve pitched to four VC firms and applied for several business loans without success. The main hurdles have been: not showing revenue for a long enough duration, not meeting the required revenue amounts, and not having collateral for a loan.
For those who’ve been here before—how did you get out of your boots and into outside capital? I’d love to hear your insights or advice.

Hey all - Mike from Shopify here! We’d love to chat with some tax advisories / consultants based in EU or UK who use or have used Shopify Tax.

• Anyone here fit the bill and up for a chat?
• Who do yall use and recommend? Would you be open to a warm intro?

Anyone know a good alternative to Melio for paying Chinese suppliers via USA credit card? I don't mind the 2.9% fee but they are adding another $20 and I don't love that....

Hey, does anybody have any recommendations for a good course to learn fundamentals for ecommerce finance? I know basic accounting, but I’m looking for something more domain-specific to level up in this area. budgeting, forecasting, P&L, etc.

Hey folks, haven't been in here in a while so apologies if this has been asked elsewhere already--

Does anyone have any recommendations for Audit partners, ideally at the Big 4, who are well-versed and friendly towards emerging CPG/DTC companies?

A friend of mine is a fractional CFO for a 9-figure wellness shot company and is looking to meet potential audit partners

Hey All, for state sales Taxes, what do you think of Numeral? Has anyone used it and or other solutions you've tried that have been helpful? Shopify seems to slowly be getting better with what they offer but this is still very time consuming. From what I gather you can essentially pay $5-10k annually for a software to make it easier.

If you’re looking for cash back specifically, the Cap One Spark Cash Plus gives 2% back on all purchases, plus the first year bonuses depending on spend.

Outside of that, Chase Ink Preferred gives 3x points on the first $150k spent on ads per year and then 1x above that. Not as good for higher ad spend, but pretty good value if you hold other Chase cards (like Sapphire Reserve) and can combine points for better cash back redemptions.

As it pertains to Ecommerce this is the best podcast right now- https://open.spotify.com/show/0Oqz3VJTYOVHjlp7pqV0IB?si=ba58d9cfa53542e2

Some of our brands use Brex and Ramp
• I've heard that Brex can usually offer up to 2% depending on the volume of spend and the type of ad spend coming through on the card.
• I've heard that Ramp usually starts around 1.5% cashback as the base but can go higher depending on spend.
Happy to intro you to either team if helpful
