Hi Everyone,
I am looking for an app that can help gather donations and find the right institutions/causes, anyone has had success using such app and have one to recommend?
Thanks in advance!

There is no right or wrong here just making sure you are trying to validate or follow a strategy, if you go with the flow thats when you might be shooting yourself in the foot, because the promo is “too good” to take it off.

• Important to consider, if you do too many promos or extend for a long period of time you are indeed training customers to shop only deals.
• If you want revenues at all costs you will see yourself in a bad margin business
• If you don’t make promo moments based on quarterly and monthly targets you won’t know when you need one or when you just canibalize your margins
• if you do it too often
or for an extended period of time it is very difficult to change and later on survive months/periods without it
• Promos are not bad, they are great, but they need to feel like something new, constantly changing, with some sense of urgency and serving a purpose.
• A company built on brand and product launches is stronger over the long run than a company scaled via promos.
• Build promos that increase AOV rather than those that increase unit sales.
That said, if it works for you on revenues and margin, no opinion matters 🙂

should work now

#growth-and-marketing - June 17, 2025 at 01:49 PM

I have been fortunate enough to grow my own business and now manage a portoflio of over 11 companies, in agglomerate we manage way over 9 figures worth of revenue, but one of my main activities is to help other founders grow via mentorship and coaching. That’s why we started an accelerator in the first place.

But in every coaching call I do I come back to the same basics, thought it was worth sharing with the community since there was already a presentation made for it and they are all needle movers:

  1. Get obsessed with customer feedback and what is being said there, if you have high reviews you will have product market fit. So go crazy on collecting reviews, NPS, post and pre purchase survey responses...
  2. If you don't have enough room to advertise, you need to create space first. Optimise all other cost categories to have a scalable business driven by marketing
  3. Spit out at least 25 creatives per week and build a content machine, you cannot scale without amazing content.
  4. Communicate something new in your CRM channels minimum every 2 weeks (products, offers, bundles, vip benefits...)
  5. Play heavily with pricing and merchandising, if you feel you are not doing this constantly you are doing it wrong. Happy to go deeper in the subject if people have questions. Here is also the full presentation:

Good stuff, worth a brand newsletter 🙂

#supply-chain - June 08, 2025 at 05:45 PM

This view can be then real time

#supply-chain - June 08, 2025 at 05:43 PM

Easiest way, if you are using ahopify and registering the costs correctly there per the stock that is actually sold its to sign up for triplewhale and follow the cogs numbers there. You can even just do the free account if you dont need the attribution piece.

#meta-ads - May 28, 2025 at 10:10 AM

yes sorry, they change their name, this give us way better event match rates

#meta-ads - May 27, 2025 at 08:10 PM

This is highly subjective on how you setup ad rotation.

Generically speaking what happens is, if you don't spend enough in a day to have a good pace and rotate content even meta will turn off your ads after 14 days of no activity.

Bare in mind that if you have 50, 30 or 10 ads in an adset/campaign that share the same budget, usually meta will do the same thing, concentrate the budget in maximum 3 ads at a time. You dont see this budget getting well distributed amongst all ads. So in the end the trick is more to constantly upload more content but also have strict rules to shut ads off if they dont hit certain kpis.

In one of our brands we upload avg 100 ads per week in multiple campaigns, but every campaign has a rule to turn off the ads after 20 eur spent in case there are no conversions or roas bellow 2.

#meta-ads - May 27, 2025 at 08:03 PM

for companies where we see the attribution on meta side is not very accurate we use upstackfield. It significantly improves every event grade.

For attribution we use TW as a standard, learned to work and build a system around it.

#meta-ads - May 01, 2025 at 09:17 PM

Our testing strategy is always using ad sets with a specific placement and looking out for early funnel KPIs (CTR, CPC) that are strong enough to be pushed into scaling campaigns.

If it is ABO, CBO doesnt matter, what matters most is that you have a fixed way to compare multiple ads and that is by picking 1 placement that the testing will take place and rule to shut the ad after a certain spent (20 EUR is what we use) to make sure you can compare them the same way.

We usually produce 50-100 ads pre brand per week, this allows us to test a lot and just try to scale what has the highest probability to give us the lowest CPA.

Another app I have found great value last months and replaces a big cost, if you use Motion for instance

*Disclaimer I use this app in my whole portfolio of companies, but I am not getting any kickback or have shares in this business, so just sharing because it’s top.

I am using the Superads app for some reasons:

• I am able to connect all my ad accounts and see ad performance in a very easy, fast and intuitive way
• I am able to build multiple views and actually get to manipulate the data, much better than the reporting feature of Meta
• I am able to quickly scout through all the content and find the most relevant in terms or CPM, Thubmstop, CPC, CPA and conversion KPIs
• It aggregates the data in terms of creative format and creative file
• It replaces and mimics most of the features of Motion which is the app I use to use but got too expensive for the purpose.
• It is for free still, don’t know for how long though…
Here is a loom showing how I use the tool:

Happy sales!

#tech-stack - March 09, 2025 at 07:46 PM

yes just message them in slack they will return the cash immediately, also if you point out all the flaws in the software they might give you a free first month to try out the tool

#ask-the-community - March 05, 2025 at 03:11 PM

This is a common challenge, we have tried many things in the past but now settled with opening a company in the US just to have these transactions. We receive all USD amounts in this company and later transfer the funds to EU whenever needed, this was done first to avoid paypal charges but now its for all activity

#meta-ads - February 27, 2025 at 10:47 AM

you should see if you are not over delivering in one placement like, facebook feed

#meta-ads - February 27, 2025 at 10:47 AM

you can check the view i just sent to see your frequency, it just means you are paying a very high price to reach 1000 people so it will get tough on all other kpis

#meta-ads - February 27, 2025 at 10:41 AM

only truth is that, content will shape all the results, market conditions is just a fact you cannot change

#meta-ads - February 27, 2025 at 10:40 AM

this is just one of our brands, so eveything is relative

#meta-ads - February 27, 2025 at 10:39 AM

#meta-ads - February 27, 2025 at 10:36 AM

yes put CPM next to cost per 1,000 and you will see how missguided CPMs are

#meta-ads - February 27, 2025 at 10:36 AM

this kpi you get it from meta directly, we are doing slightly better this year compared to last year on cost per 1,000 people, but its not a fair assessment.

Prices go up YoY so the logis is that CPMs would also, but you break through the tide with content and as you can see last year we had a hug click volume but i can tell you we made more money this year.

#meta-ads - February 27, 2025 at 10:33 AM

#meta-ads - February 27, 2025 at 09:08 AM

and I prefer to look at cost per 1,000 people reached, CPM is very misleading since you can have a very high frewuency and a super low CPM just by constantly hitting stories and reels

#meta-ads - February 27, 2025 at 09:00 AM

This is one of our brands, but this is a generic trend. Q4 will always be the highest CPMs and Q1 its a big opportunity to scale with the right content and message, valentine's is big for us.

#tech-stack - February 20, 2025 at 02:11 PM

Depends per brand size, but can be as low as 350 for the most important features

#tech-stack - February 20, 2025 at 12:15 PM

One of the best finds I have had in terms of apps these last months

*Disclaimer I use this app in my whole portfolio of companies, but I am not getting any kickback or have shares in this business, so just sharing because it’s top.

I am using the Archive app for some reasons:

• Stores all content with a certain # or @ from multiple platforms, impressively saves all stories content as well which is not available anywhere.
• I am able to download all content and ask for consent directly on the platform
• I am able to track the performance month over month of organic reach coming from influencers and customers
• I am able to find viral content that otherwise would have been lost
• I am able to find content with the visual search feature, this one is crazy because it solves a big pain point I have in some companies
• I am able to see performance and output by creator that I collaborate
• I am able to find creators using also the visual search, this is crazy to find influencers/content creators that are doing very specific things that are not easily findable
• I am able to find competitors and which influencers collaborate with them, also their performance
Here is a loom showing how I use the tool:

https://www.loom.com/share/8bb8a77ad96f4d508a0f32e50ed71137

If you are interested in trying let me know and I will tell their team to enable a full feature trial for some days.

Happy sales!

#ask-the-community - January 09, 2025 at 08:16 AM

Are you using a specific app for this?

#meta-ads - December 18, 2024 at 04:38 PM

Usually that is the trick

#meta-ads - December 18, 2024 at 04:36 PM

If you go on the facebook app on Shopify you need to disable data sharing if you already are doing via server side

#ask-the-community - December 06, 2024 at 06:16 PM

thats not good, talk with arun and i think he might be able to poke the right person.

#ask-the-community - October 31, 2024 at 12:58 PM

Yes definitely recommend Pieter, specially if you are in the phase of trying to implement systems in the company, he does things based on the scaling up one.

#ask-the-community - October 18, 2024 at 08:16 AM

yes we hired a b2b sales person, but trying to understand if anyone had experience growing this online

#ask-the-community - October 17, 2024 at 10:15 AM

One of our brands has a proposition for team events, that already works quite well organically but we want to scale, Q4 would be a key time but facebook ads for this is unproven and linkedin we don't have experience:

https://getpottd.co.uk/pages/team-events

#ask-the-community - October 16, 2024 at 01:32 PM

Anyone with experience selling products for team events / corporate clients?

#ask-the-community - October 16, 2024 at 01:30 PM

Hey Tom, yes we spend over 500k across some brands, happy to have a call. https://calendly.com/leonardo-caracas/60minutes

#introductions - July 27, 2024 at 12:29 PM

🙌 happy to share the knowledge!

#tech-stack - July 18, 2024 at 07:30 PM

Its like the Shopify ecosystem, they integrate with everything and have the easiest platform to manage in terms of features and knowledge sharing.

Other tools like Sendlane, Ometria and insider are good for advanced use

#discount-codes - July 11, 2024 at 07:58 PM

Yes I have some coupon codes that can be shared here, to be a bit more organised I would start one by one. If anyone is interested there is a 15% discount on Triplewhale, I just need:
• E-mail
• First and Last name
• Company name

#tech-stack - July 11, 2024 at 08:20 AM

By the way I can share a discount coupon we have for our brands on Triplewhale, should give 15% discount if anyone is interested

#linkedin-love - July 10, 2024 at 07:54 PM

1 problem at the moment is time allocation for our different brands, we are scaling 4 brands at the same time and on different revenue levels. We have a feeling that we allocate more time to the smallest brand at a given point in time because we see the opportunity of increase revenues at faster rate than our highest revenue one(100% x 20%). So main point is trying to setup fixed routines for all teams to make sure they don’t allocate time on the lowest effort projects.

#tech-stack - July 08, 2024 at 01:33 PM

use it more for a/b landing page tests and redirect tests. The pricing feature we did not play as much, but will ask the team

#tech-stack - July 08, 2024 at 10:05 AM

The overall spent really depends per brand due to the amount of orders or marketing spent. I also try to negotiate a discount for every tool once I have multiple brands using, generally speaking get a 15% discount.
