Myself and a couple colleagues are dealing with a particularly nasty account blocking issue where we have been locked out of Meta. The normal methods of 2FA are not working. If anyone has found any workarounds for this, please share. Reddit thread with same issue

Looking for recs for full service (Shop, Influencers, Organic, Paid) Tiktok agencies or highly experienced freelancers. US-based only. For a DTC snack brand.

#paid-media - November 07, 2024 at 07:18 PM

@Jack Oswald with some of my clients with higher AOVs ($150-$250) I have had a lot of trouble getting cost caps to scale. I know many people swear by this tactic, but I also have talked to both agencies and in-house media buyers who handle big budgets for massive DTC brands and never bother with them.

Huge thanks to all^^ Really appreciate the quick answers!

Does anyone know what cart upsell apps provide a progress tracker like True Classic uses? Does Aftersell offer this standard?

#paid-media - May 06, 2024 at 04:18 PM

Great tip, thanks so much @Nativ Yanko

#paid-media - May 06, 2024 at 02:45 PM

Also looking for some help here. Are these run through the branded content handshake tool or are brands getting direct access to accounts via Biz Manager?

I have a UK-based client with a Wordpress site encountering big inaccuracies in GA4 tracking. I'm quite certain cookie consent prompts are at the root of the issue. They are using "CookieYes" to manage their consent popup. Is there an agency or freelancer anyone would recommend to troubleshoot and get GA to be as accurate as possible across all markets?

#everything-marketing - April 17, 2024 at 03:02 PM

Thanks @Tobi Chapman!

#everything-marketing - April 17, 2024 at 01:39 AM

Email marketing pros... Is there a preferred list cleaning tool people recommend? Or simply exclude unengaged as you go?

#tech-talk - March 29, 2024 at 03:09 AM

Thanks @Anton Krecic !

Great social proof in the checkout for Arcteryx. Anyone have specifics on how to implement this on Shopify? Only possible on Plus?

#jobs-and-talent - March 01, 2024 at 06:58 PM

Hi @Monal Gehlot is this a full time role or are you open to fractional/contractors?

#jobs-and-talent - February 19, 2024 at 10:50 PM

Happy to chat Jake. 10 years of experience from an agency background, now operating as a freelancer/small agency. Ocotillo.media

#everything-marketing - February 16, 2024 at 05:37 PM

I've used Lifetimely which is cheap and effective for getting basic LTV and CAC data organized. Also using RententionX which is more feature rich but pricier.

#everything-marketing - February 12, 2024 at 07:41 PM

Carhartt going broad market comes to mind. Salomon/Arcteryx to some extent as well.

#everything-marketing - February 12, 2024 at 07:37 PM

Can anyone think of a larger DTC brand that launched with one brand identity/target consumer, but eventually pivoted to a different target consumer? Eg: started as a unisex apparel brand, found more women were buying, and pivoted to a more female-centric product line/branding.

#general-chat - February 10, 2024 at 12:41 AM

Deep cut... but somewhere in the last season the question came up: at what spend level should a brand start seriously testing channels beyond Meta and Google? Does anyone know which ep this was in? Might have been an interview with someone.

I have a client who needs the CAD file of their product updated to include various accessories. The end use is for an assembly guide. Does anyone have a recommendation on who could help with that?

#jobs-and-talent - January 19, 2024 at 05:25 PM

@John Narducci freelancer here. Happy to chat, will drop my email in your DMs.

#paid-media - January 04, 2024 at 03:59 PM

Looking for a highly established agency or contractor for influencer marketing based in the US. This is for an adaptogen food product with national distribution across retailers including Whole Foods and Target. Growing DTC biz as well.

#everything-marketing - December 13, 2023 at 09:24 PM

@Michael S thanks so much for sharing. I just caught this for a client today!

#tiktok - December 01, 2023 at 04:51 PM

This super cool to see! Do you have updated reporting like this for BFCM or for the month as a whole?

#everything-marketing - November 16, 2023 at 04:13 PM

I still think it's one of the best founding story videos ever made. Brilliant.

#general-chat - October 30, 2023 at 09:43 PM

I can't recall which ep, but here are some ideas from KNO. http://docs.knocommerce.com/en/articles/5489120-favorite-questions

#paid-media - October 26, 2023 at 05:28 PM

Any freelance devs or shops here who work on Crystallize sites? I have a client looking for a new partner.

#everything-marketing - October 23, 2023 at 05:57 PM

I almost never use the formal testing campaigns. I do often pause top performers for short windows when I have signals that another asset may match or beat performance. I have also started being more aggressive with building new ASC campaigns to test certain batches of creative (eg: one gender, specific product, etc).

#tech-talk - October 16, 2023 at 03:09 PM

@Greg Boudenkov I haven't activated on a tool yet. Please let me know what you go with or learn, I'll likely be launching tests in the next couple of months.

#limited-supply - October 10, 2023 at 05:59 PM

Third party attribution tools come up on the pod sometimes but has there been a deep dive on this? I think I’ve heard Nik mention Triple Whale or Northbeam and we know Moiz has an unshakable bias towards last click data from Shopify (same here). I’ve had clients test tools from the Triple Whales to CDPs to incrementality tools like Measured. For most brands, I don’t see the core decision making on strategy/creative/audiences change dramatically with these tools. Shopify, ad platform, GA, and survey data used with a viz tool seem to achieve a similar result while keeping costs down.

#everything-marketing - October 06, 2023 at 10:18 PM

Pillow cube and Harrys

#paid-media - October 02, 2023 at 02:52 PM

@Douglas Giampapa I'm not sure what your current targeting looks like, but generally speaking, CPM is most driven by audience size. If you haven't recently tested all of these, try putting a limited amount of spend against advantage+, broad, a large lookalike, and a set of reasonably broad interest audiences.

#tech-talk - September 23, 2023 at 06:12 PM

I have a DTC client with a high AOV and long purchase cycle. We're using Zoho for customer service/live chat and Klaviyo for email. We are wanting to better follow consumer journey from the initial touchpoint to purchase across Zoho and Klaviyo or switch to a single tool to manage all of this. We're priced out of the bigger CDPs, any recommended alternatives?

#paid-media - September 22, 2023 at 04:12 PM

I've done quite a bit of work with Reed Allen who runs https://www.palmscreative.com/ . Very cost effective studio photography. Feel free to mention me if you reach out.

#everything-marketing - September 20, 2023 at 06:16 PM

Attributed ROAS, last click ROAS, total CAC, cost-per-ATC, CPC, and cost-per-view content. I think about CVR more when analyzing relative channel performance or page/site performance.

#everything-marketing - September 20, 2023 at 02:51 PM

Yes @Peter Quadrel! I haven't even had CTR in my standard columns for years 😂

#everything-marketing - September 20, 2023 at 01:55 PM

Checking a sampling of 5 of my clients, who have reasonably strong ROAS/CAC metrics, none have CTRs close to 2%. How much static vs. video creative is being run also plays a role here.

#tech-talk - September 19, 2023 at 08:09 PM

Shopify SEO gurus: for addressing unminified Javascript and CSS concerns from SEMRush, is there an app or tool solution here or does this require significant hands-on work?

#jobs-and-talent - September 11, 2023 at 02:13 PM

@Joshua Lippiner sending you a message.

#everything-marketing - August 30, 2023 at 05:00 PM

Thanks for sharing! Definitely stands out in the feed.

#tech-talk - August 09, 2023 at 09:09 PM

@Wyatt Kern I loved Google Optimize for this kind of thing but they're claiming the platform will be deprecated end of September, hence looking for alternatives. Though maybe they'll quietly let it keep running for longer.

#tech-talk - August 09, 2023 at 04:00 PM

Best tool for running split tests between pages? Eg: sending 50% of paid traffic to custom landing page, 50% to home page.

#tech-talk - July 24, 2023 at 05:28 PM

Hero! Thanks!

#tech-talk - July 24, 2023 at 05:15 PM

I know this came up recently but having trouble finding the thread... What cross-sell/upsell app do folks recommend?

#tech-talk - July 10, 2023 at 06:58 PM

Makes sense. Surely a savvy app developer could make some money here to streamline the setup of something similar 👀

#tech-talk - July 10, 2023 at 06:54 PM

Also on the GA4 subject: Does anyone have a solution (app?) for storing UA data beyond the 2024 end date and easily pulling year-over-year comparisons?

#general-chat - July 02, 2023 at 07:25 PM

I have been wondering if any of the existing Shopify SEO apps are really making full use of the new LLMs for the grunt work of SEO. Seems like low hanging fruit.

#tech-talk - June 29, 2023 at 04:02 PM

Does anyone here use a third party app to display customer reviews/testimonials on a Shopify homepage?

#general-chat - June 27, 2023 at 04:19 PM

@Natalie Bowman would you mind sharing the contact for this with me as well? I have a couple of clients in need.

#limited-supply - June 26, 2023 at 09:20 PM

I'm surprised this isn't getting more coverage in the press. Perhaps everyone is assuming a workaround will come out in time for the iOS17 launch? Also, the article states this will apply to "Private Browsing mode". I'm curious what kind of percentage of users are using that (I assume a negligible %) and if there are plans for that to become default.
