@here Bit of an ask - What percentage of your overall expenses is typically spent on warehousing, fulfillment, and shipping costs?

Kasper - LABFRESH January 20, 2025 at 01:50 PM

17% of ecom revenue in 2024, up from 15% in 2023 and 13% in 2022. We are gonna focus on getting it reduced this year.

Patrick Crowley January 20, 2025 at 01:55 PM

Thanks! Who do you use?

Kasper - LABFRESH January 20, 2025 at 01:59 PM

they are called MONTA, and return portal is PostCO (very good)

Patrick Crowley January 20, 2025 at 02:05 PM

Interesting - Are they both simply upping their prices or whats driving the 2% increase p/y?

Kasper - LABFRESH January 20, 2025 at 02:07 PM

base prices haven’t changed, there just seem to be more hidden fees, a bit more returns, etc.

Patrick Crowley January 20, 2025 at 02:12 PM

I always wonder if how thought out that is by products that are that sticky...

Lars van der Wijst January 20, 2025 at 07:13 PM

Around 12 - 14%, depends on stock levels

Lars van der Wijst January 20, 2025 at 07:13 PM

We also work with Monta

Patrick Crowley January 20, 2025 at 07:21 PM

Thanks!!

Willem van den Eertwegh January 21, 2025 at 12:39 AM

We switched from Monta, they increased prices really fast in a few years. Now have a 3PL + 4PL solution under one roof

Koen van der List January 21, 2025 at 07:19 AM

20%. We faced many penalties from transporters because of our bulky items. We are also going to focus on reducing it this year.

If I deduct the charged shipping expenses towards clients we get to 17%.

Kasper - LABFRESH January 21, 2025 at 07:36 AM

@Willem van den Eertwegh who did you switch to?

Willem van den Eertwegh January 21, 2025 at 07:50 AM

@Kasper - LABFRESH GEODIS, in corporation with a daughter company Efulfilment.eu , one of the biggest transportation company in the world. Has some benefits once you have the scale the process gets tailored to your company instead of the other way around at monta for example

Patrick Crowley January 21, 2025 at 08:16 AM

Right… looks like we’re all looking to reduce this cost!

Patrick Crowley January 21, 2025 at 11:37 AM

Does anyone have insight into what Margin they're applying? It seems to typically be between 2% & 5%

Anders Reckendorff January 24, 2025 at 03:55 PM

At 13% here! 🙂
