My next major shipment is ready for pick up Monday. After 6 months of delays. Air went from $7k to $14k in the last 24 hrs. Ocean is 60+ days, up from 40. I literally have no idea what to do - eat the air cost and have all the inventory in hand or wait and hope they figure something out before the 50% goes into effect. I am open to any and all ideas.

Soooo, anyone else quietly freaking out about the 50% india tariff? I'm debating paying air (πŸ˜…) to avoid the extra cost. Anyone else in the same boat?

anyone out there that has a reliable/transparent end-to-end freight forwarder they use for shipping from India to the US?

Hey Austin pals! Anyone here renting warehousing space or considering? If anyone has some extra space they want to sublet, etc, would love to chat!

The budget was relatively small as it was live for about a week ($70 per day) - the only thing I changed was the budget ($100). Anytime I’ve done this on other occasion it’s continued to perform well.

Has anyone tried to scale a meta campaign that’s doing great and then it just stops performing? It still has great engagement but zero sales (with a decent number of sales each day prior)

@Shin Takeda if you're looking for a slower pace than east or west coast, super friendly people, a slightly lower cost of living and really hot weather its a good spot to be πŸ™‚

gifting product is important, as is being set up with affiliate because reporters are generally now making "lists" but favor those that make money for the story in a lot of cases. Building relationships with reporters is valuable and isn't an instant hit. Think of it as rolling thunder vs lighting strikes. πŸ™‚

Hey friends, a little "non revenue related" win for your Tuesday. Last year when I started working on For the Cubs, part of the core brand differentiator was "every order pays it forward to a kid in foster care". This past Sunday, the first giving cycle was closed and a ton of Percy the weighted plushie were gifted to kids in foster care, thanks to our nonprofit partner One Simple Wish. All because people shopped at For the Cubs. 🌟

thanks so much @E! I'm going to clean the slate and run 2 campaign tests based off 2 different set ups Ive been recommended. From there, if I'm still stuck, I'll definitely hop in that channel for a further assist πŸ™‚

Hey hey, I'm right there with you. This is hard, but we have just gotta keep going. Look at where you started and how far you've come. You've got this! πŸ‘

@E I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong - I've tried different variations of creative - value props, news style, use case, reviews, founder story. I've made matching landing pages to align with ad creative (they seem to perform worse than landing pages?). I'm working on collecting social proof to beef that up because that is an area i know im lacking. I'm also doing more lifestyle photography to expand that content (shooting today!). I see an ok add to cart rate, but the cvr to complete check out is poor. I've let ads run for a week before I tinker, but they get stuck in limited learning. I'm stumped.

Hey friends, I'm Amy from Austin, TX, but am from Australia originally. G'day! I've been in brand/strategy marketing for a long time, but haven't been in the trenches for over a decade, so I'm basically relearning it all. It's been a fun and humbling process so far. πŸ€“
I launched forthecubs.com in September offering kids essentials for eating, sleeping and soothing. I started working on For the Cubs when I was being licensed to become a foster parent and was so overwhelmed by all the stuff you're told you need as a parent. Through foster parent training I also learned so much about parenting that biological parents aren't taught - particularly the importance of emotional processing and regulation in childhood development. So, I designed Percy the weighted plushie. Every order placed with For the Cubs directly supports a kid in foster care. We just sent a big shipment of Percy's to our non profit partner who will be gifting them to kids who are currently experiencing foster care at their holiday party this weekend.

I am so excited to be a part of this community. I can't wait to learn from y'all! (Particularly cracking meta ads - if anyone is up to dig in with me, I'm alllll ears. The channels in this community have already helped me a ton, but want to optimize quickly to catch peak holiday spending. πŸ˜…πŸ™)
