We’re exploring Canadian 3PLs, does anyone have some good recommendations? For reference we work with Quiet Platforms in the US now

If your supply chain partners can support it’s a great option. Some of our brand partners are doing it for their overseas POs. It starts to strain with the extreme tariff levels we’ve been seeing.

NuOrder isn’t cheap, but it works pretty well. About $1k/mo +/-
#wholesale-tariffs - March 06, 2025 at 07:17 AM
Shopify B2B ain’t it, but at least they don’t lock you in, prohibiting you from working for the accounts started on the platform. We use NuOrder, and it’s pretty good.
The common mistake made by DTC first brands is thinking that they can scale in the same way they can digitally. Wholesale is built on relationships AND awareness

I have a ton of experience in this space, and I’m always open to chat. Hit me with a DM if you’re keen.
Another note to consider: working with distributors introduces a ton of brand risk. Be very cautious choosing the right partners. I would HIGHLY encourage you to find the right agents in the markets you want to explore; better margin hit for you, and way less risk that your brand value is diluted by poor placements or liquidations.

Faire is an easy way to add wholesale. Retailers love it, we just can’t get past their insane lock in requirements and 15% take. Juice isn’t worth the squeeze.

A bit late to this conversation. We do ~$1.3m in wholesale revenue and about $100m in ecomm revenue. We love using Shopify, but have found their B2B approach to not align well with wholesale market expectations. We use CIN7 and NuOrder. We are currently exploring some other options, mainly interested in removing CIN7, as it’s just utter crap.

Mercury is great (I’ve used it for a few companies now), Wise is probably the easiest and most versatile if your company isn’t US based in my experience.

Does anyone have anything to share about which countries they will not ship to? Why? How did you determine the list? Context: Shopify Plus, DHL Express for all international shipments, shipping from USA, mostly footwear, shipping a mix of DDU and DDP. Thanks in advance!

Hi all, I'm diving head first into the world of DTC marketing with the launch of kids brand, and I would qualify as a novice with some front-end dev experience. I want to learn more about the stacks people are using to launch brands. I have setup a barebones
, with a Facebook Conversions API Pixel using Segment, a Klaviyo sign-up form also connected to Segment.I'd like to make my stack as easy and cheap as possible. We'll be moving to Shopify as soon as we get a bit farther along with product content.
Any help, resources, and support would be very much appreciated!

To jump in on this thread, while listening to the most recent episode, while in NY I consulted on a fast casual restaurant project from the family that owns a major Indian food company that was aiming to build this kind of concept. Restaurant zero launched with the "Indikitch" brand name, they've since changed it to
. I think they've expand to four locations now.#the-welcome-mat - April 17, 2023 at 07:24 PM
Thanks Matt! I'm good for now. What are you working on?
#the-welcome-mat - April 17, 2023 at 06:22 PM
Yo!! Glad to see some familiar faces in here. My day job is as the VP of Sales at
. I'm a veteran in leveraging the power of the wholesale market for brand growth, and I am actively building, and learning, the best practices on how to do that in house with an established DTC brand. I'm looking forward to some good conversations!
