Any experience with uploading UGC videos (both either as the merchant or as a third party / service partner)? Trying to understand especially as a service partner:
(1) how videos best land in the ā€˜video section’ of the listing (screenshot for reference), and
(2) how some of Amazon’s promotional guidelines (specifically to disclose a ā€˜financial connection’ in the video) is playing out in practice to ensure compliance (and not end up in the fake review bucket…)

@Stephanie Danforth i’d think of it as two different tests that you can run (1) can you increase organic sales while lowering ad costs [i.e. slow down ad spend and track impact on rank + sales] | (2) test if there’s a higher willingness to pay --> increase prices and see how the bottom line (and customers) behave. I’d argue learnings from 2 are more impactful as you can significantly lift your margin if you end up learning that folks are willing to shop at a higher price

I may be biased: but I’d recommend a combination of Amazon’s GenAI feature for the initial start to generate the listing and then use Autopilot for ongoing optimization. Benefits of that approach to ongoing optimization:
1. You get a best in class keyword bank (built around the search query performance data plus expanded with keyword learnings from the ads side)
2. It’s automated (with a human expert in the loop for safety checks) --> but overall no need to worry about updating ur listings anymore
3. it comes with inbuilt performance checks on various levels (ensuring amazon doesnt throw errors…. and that traffic grows)

@Ishan Jetley love the thread here. A couple of effects we noticed (across about 5,000 listing updates in the last 8 weeks):

  1. Amazon awards an updating, even with minimal keyword updates
  2. Most listings see a keyword rotation of ~10% per month (i’d say an updating makes sense every 4-6 weeks on avg)
  3. Optimizing the long tail (bullet, backend search terms, descriptions) can easily yield a 50% page view uplift I’ll continue this at some point. Has anyone else has played with Bard to get keyword traffic data? Seems like they have access to both Helium10 and Jungle Scout data? Quite fascinating but not sure if I’d trust that reference as much as the Google Keyword Planner. Including my prompt for reference below if you want to try it out.
