👋 Hey guys, I write The Case for Brand, a newsletter that condenses 15 hours of research into a 5 minute case study on brand strategy.

This week I wrote about JUDY. They're helmed by a Kardashian PR exec who's making DTC disaster kits. Interesting brand that I had fun looking into. Full deets here 🔗 https://shorturl.at/lcgly

How Starface built a pimple patch brand for Gen Z
👋 Hey guys, I write The Case for Brand, a weekly newsletter that condenses 15 hours of research into a 5 minute case study on brand strategy.

Today I wrote about Starface ⭐. I'm very intrigued by what Julie Schott is building (founder of Julie and Blip) and love to see a brand that truly gets their audience, smart collabs, and strong brand expression. Dig into how Starface set their strategy for a $90M / year pimple patch business, here.

Oh that's amazing @Dan Gray, I'd love that!

Totally - that is the reason we haven't done it in the past. Worked at an agency that produced their own and it just became a behemoth!

#paid-media - July 21, 2023 at 11:16 PM

Gotcha - that makes sense. Did you ever consider launching a podcast? I think that's a bit 'boil the ocean' for what I need (awareness) but interested in your take.

#paid-media - July 21, 2023 at 11:14 PM

Nice! Thanks Joel, that makes sense. Did you use an agency or go through Spotify podcast advertising?

Anyone seen success with podcast or radio ads?
Howdy! Has anyone here had experience using podcast advertising or radio advertising to boost growth? Interested in hearing from folks who've advertised or used a content marketing strategy (i.e. gotten other folks onto your podcast, etc).
