The issue isn't the amount in our case, it's the fact that they use different names, but ONE shipping address. Shopify doesn't have a flow for that. They just repeat that with single orders.

In the midst of figuring out what to do 🤯 🤯 🤯
We produce in Hungary and Indi and are exploring a few paths:

1) Shipping directly to consumers from Hungary. Shipments under $800 don’t get taxed (if nothing changes)

2) Negotiating hard with our manufacturers to bring the COGS down.

3) Transit the goods (and potentially finish part of the manufacturing) in a low tariff country.

4) Increase D2C pricing. My last resort but I may need to have to absorb some of it here as well.

We just experienced that exact issue with The Container Store. First off, we told them that they are no longer allowed to offer promotions on our products online.

For Google ads it’s more tricky but it made me think that we should try and contractually make sure that nobody competes with our online presence moving forward.

The main point is that we want them to excel at the offline offering, not compete with our keywords online. Hard balance to keep!
