Bit late to join in this (and we don't do subs inventory reservation in Genie yet), but have you found a solution @Sakshi Jain?

I heard of a merchant hacking this together with Flows, which makes me think it could be a reasonably easy issue to fix (take scheduled sub orders for next X days, take the inventory quantity associated with them, and change it from available to reserved)?

We’ve built exactly that in Genie.io. Dropped you a DM with some more info, but happy to see if we can help and/or share some best practices on how to build dashboards in general.

I built these kind of things for 5+ years in Excel before founding Genie, so know a fair bit about the pains and joys of this 🙂

@Brendan Hastings - just DM’ed - if you’re looking to implement at PIM I know a great independent consultant on this.

@Thomas hell yes 🙌. Only thing to bear in mind atm is that Shopify is quite drastically overhauling their own PIM (to enable >100 variants with options), so if your PIM system is currently working around Shopify’s limitations you may need to update a few things. Lmk if you wanna chat more about this - I don’t have an agenda in this, just super geeky on this 🙂

I’ve seen people do this as less of a sudden break - eg shift certain product lines / new inventory orders to a new 3PL location and then adjust the fulfilment settings per product in Shopify.

But depending on your volume etc that’s super tough.
