Our brand (Neat) is spending $900 / day on ads (80% on FB/IG and 20% on Google). We're testing into Tiktok and Applovin to see if we can prove the unit economics.

Question: How do you think about ad spend / marketing budget that goes to testing new channels & tactics?

How much of the budget do you put towards this? (5% / 20%)

One thought is to always try new channels / tactics to diversify against dependency on core channels like FBIG. Plus you can stay cutting edge. But, it means that you could be wasting money in the short term for the hope of a bigger pay off in the long term.

We pushed ads live less than 30 days ago and we're seeing some strong performance out of the gate. I thought this would take 45-90 days.

A QUESTION ABOUT PRE-ORDERS:

Good news: We are almost sold out of product on our site! πŸŽ‰
Bad News: Our next order doesn't arrive til September 😞.

Question: How far out is it acceptable to do pre-orders? Can I pre-sell a product that will not be here for 90 days? Or should I wait until it's under 60 days or 30 days?

I do not want to pause my ads that are working but I don't want to piss off our customers.

Thoughts or examples on how to handle this?

For context, it's for our brand Neat Apparel.

We did a redesign of our site with the main goal being to increase an AOV. We we're able to raise it to over $120 (from $70) with a couple key items:
1/ Pushing Bundles (over single purchases)
2/ Incentives at checkout (free shipping at $80, Free products at $200)

Why is AOV important?

Lots of reasons but mainly it will allow us to scale paid ads and have more room on our CPA:

@Antoine Orban From an attention ratio perspective, consumers might be overwhelmed by what looks like 4 CTAS and an add to cart button. A potential elimination test of picking 2 could be an interesting.

Also, I would test exposed PDP images as opposed to the scroll.
