Looking for podcasts/content similar to Limited Supply
Anyone following any awesome content creators in this space?
Ideally people who make content around scaling established ecom businesses — not beginner guru dropshipping creators
i.e. newsletters, podcasts, X, YouTube etc

Hey @Valerie Crisp
Have you used Pixel Helper to check that events are firing correctly?
How long has this been happening?
What changes were made around the time this started happening (if any)?

@Srini Ranganathan
Most important is LTV
“The business that can spend the most to acquire a customer wins”
— Dan Kennedy
Too many businesses focus on buying a customer to win a sale
Your goal is to buy a sale to win a customer
As long as LTV > CAC then you are good
You want LTV to exceed CAC as much as possible
Optimize Retention, AOV, and COGS until LTV exceeds CAC
—
Upon achieving economy of scale, you will effectively have AOV, CAC and ROAS in a solid place
But these are only metrics that paint a story about yesterday
- Determine target CPA
- When exceeding target CPA, scale spend
- When not meeting target CPA, test inputs until you exceed (i.e. creative, copy) Lmk if this helps! 🙂

Awesome would love to hear updates — DM anytime! @Srini Ranganathan

Hey @Srini Ranganathan!
New customer AOV? These are pretty much all of your options:
• Increase price
• Quantity breaks
• Upsells / cross sells / bundles
• Free shipping threshold
• Subscription
• Post purchase upsell (AfterSell app)
Post Purchase Upsell is massively slept on…
Customers are more likely to make a second purchase immediately after buying something.
Everything else you do in your funnel influences whether or not a new customer will take action on the above.
Your copywriting, offer timing, positioning, etc.
Now…
Existing customers…
Klaviyo’s “Expected Date of Order” feature is unreal — if you aren’t using it check it out.
You can set up flows to present high AOV bundle offers triggered around when Klaviyo expects them to place another order.
From there it’s always worth have a Post Purchase Flow set up with offers.
—
You might already be doing most of the above but let me know if you have any Qs!
#paid-media - June 05, 2024 at 12:46 PM
What are you currently doing?
What does your performance look like right now?
#paid-media - June 03, 2024 at 07:18 PM
Always best to tailor your messaging to the marketing channel:
Meta Ads audiences may be at different funnel stages / levels of awareness than your Google Ads audience, social audience, etc.
You may be able to repurpose some elements of copy but for the most part you'll want to be intentional with the channel. Your product images / ad creative however from Meta can usually be largely repurposed.
I just commented this structure on another post in this channel — hopefully this will be of help to you! Lmk if you have any questions:
#paid-media - June 03, 2024 at 07:13 PM
^ p.s. you might already know all of the above — threw some advice in there in case it's helpful to you + may be helpful to others reading (your profile says you do Paid Ads so the above prob isn't new to you lol)
#paid-media - June 03, 2024 at 07:09 PM
Hey @Nikke!
Can you share more context on the first three PMAX campaigns?
Curious why there's a campaign for low performance products... typically it's best to:
- Test vigorously
- Identify winning products / campaigns
- Consolidate spend into those campaigns and double down If MOF is your best campaign — especially if it's outperforming by a lot — you might be better off consolidating spend into that campaign.
A structure I like:
- Top of Funnel a. Search campaign b. Target keywords relating to pain / problem awareness instead of product related (i.e. "sore back" instead of "back brace")
- Middle Funnel a. Search campaign b. PMAX / Shopping can do well here (always be testing!) c. Target keywords around solution awareness / consideration
- Bottom Funnel a. Brand Search b. Target brand keywords CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH:
Your Top of Funnel will have the lowest CR% BUT it is CRITICALLY IMPORTANT as it LIFTS the overall performance of other campaigns in your account
When measuring Top of Funnel performance — don't look at conversion rate. Instead monitor Impressions, CTR, CPC and monitor the performance of your other campaigns.
You can either keep the above structure super simple with 1 landing page and ad copy that speaks to State of Awareness based on the funnel stage
Or, you can get fancy with it and have multiple landing pages for each funnel stage with different ad groups (i.e. us vs them landing pages, advertorials, lead forms, so on and so forth)
Best to start simple though and build off that
Hope this helps 🙂. Always be testing!

is pretty good not sure of any software
even 30 mins of feed conditioning yourself though will give you what you need!
(I have 200K followers on TikTok and the above has been more than enough for me)
#everything-marketing - May 29, 2024 at 08:01 PM
Your domain is fine — at most a subdomain but even then probably not necessary
Unless you're masquerading as a different business for product testing or something, or maybe affiliate advertorials
Can you share more context? Is there a problem you're trying to solve? i.e. wanting to test a high volume of advertorials, or affiliate advertorials or something?
#paid-media - May 29, 2024 at 03:21 PM
Although it's best if you commit the why behind his strategies to memory — the above cuts corners so still best to learn

@Charles Tichenor IV has a bunch of awesome YouTube content I'd recommend looking at
Fun ChatGPT hack:
- Create a Google Doc
- Paste the transcripts from like 10-20 of Charley's videos
- Upload doc to ChatGPT
- Provide ChatGPT with context about your business
- Ask it to help you based on the transcript The future is crazy lol

@Shain Noor
#paid-media - May 29, 2024 at 03:19 PM
Exactly, target CPA calculated on the campaign level
#paid-media - May 29, 2024 at 03:12 PM
Generally for CBO you'd calculate target CPA and simply increase budget as target CPA is exceeded — that's the easy rule of thumb
Only time I'd rotate an ad from broad CBO into ASC would be if your ad in the CBO is beginning to plateau — at that point you can throw it into ASC to squeeze out a few more sales
ASC generally targets lower funnel prospects who showed buying intent on similar websites / competitors / other data so it's good for squeezing out the last bit. ASC is also good for quickly validating bottom funnel potential but really the bulk of your business growth will come from broad CBO as you won't be paying a premium for bottom funnel

Hey @Danika Charity
If you know all the most common traits that indicate fake email (i.e. "+"), you can add a filter to your Welcome Flow trigger to prevent them from being added
Screenshot attached but this is the logic:
Flows > Welcome Flow > Trigger > Profile Filters > 'And':
> Properties about someone
> Dimension: Email
> Doesn't Contain
> +
This will prevent these emails from entering the flow, but if you want to curb them from even signing up — @alexa natanson and @Alex Moulart have some good tips above ^

@Chad Lamontagne curious what you think
#paid-media - May 27, 2024 at 10:02 PM
Oh okay — is this Interest or ASC+? Or running broad? @Ron Wainbuch
#paid-media - May 27, 2024 at 09:16 PM
1.10 frequency on the daily? Or is that over the last month?
#paid-media - May 27, 2024 at 09:16 PM
What changed this month vs past months? Creative testing?
What's the campaign structure? CBO?
#everything-marketing - May 27, 2024 at 09:12 PM
Discount offers can work well, sometimes it just comes down to the messaging and state of the market
I've had success with PDF offers and have had clients have success with discount offers
Price conscious buyer + product is an impulse buy = discount offer
Product requires nurture = PDF offer
#everything-marketing - May 27, 2024 at 09:07 PM
@Tony Zheng all of these factors make an impact
Peter summed it up pretty well though. If people aren't signing up to your list, it's either the timing or the offer
That said — kinda hard to troubleshoot unless you have numbers you can share (i.e. existing traffic, existing opt-in rate)
#everything-marketing - May 27, 2024 at 09:04 PM
@Dan Staub’s advice is solid ^
Best to think in terms of CPMs
That said, chances are you'll get a better CPM on Meta Ads unless you can afford to stand up an influencer campaign with several influencers
I wouldn't be concerned with hiring influencers unless you've already proven you can sell your product though
You only really want to run influencer campaigns when you can afford to hire a bunch at once to trigger the "oh wow everybody is talking about XYZ brand" effect
Hiring creators on the other hand for ad content is a different story, if that's what you're asking about.
Reach out to a higher volume of creators (i.e. 1,000) and tell them your rate range. That way you can weed out the creators with high rates.
Email 1:
Ask if available for a collab. No links in your email. No mention of money, product, or anything. Simply asking. That way it's more likely to land in their Primary Inbox.
Email 2:
Once they reply, you can now send them links to your creator brief + budget range.
I've used tools like SARAL to export hundreds of creators and then bulk email via YAMM
Lmk if you have any questions!
#general-chat - May 27, 2024 at 05:08 PM
@Sean Cowie not clothing but Popsmith had a pretty decent pre-sale campaign a while back — happy to forward their emails to you
That said... this strategy is worth every penny:
- Make a list of your fave / best competitors
- Sign up for something like MailCharts
- Look through all of the emails they've sent MailCharts will show you every email your competitor is sending. From flows to campaigns.
I'm sure you'll find lots of awesome pre-sale email strategies within half an hour of searching
It's pretty pricey but worth paying for at least once to build a robust strategy
#everything-marketing - May 27, 2024 at 04:39 PM
Hey @Tony Zheng!
There are a lot of factors that go into email opt-in:
- Where the visitor came from
- Why they visited your website
- Their position in the funnel
- The opt-in offer
- The amount of times they've seen the offer Etc
I can help you but need a bit more info:
• What is your current opt-in rate?
• How many visitors last 30, 60, 90 days?
• What kind of opt-in do you have set up?
◦ Pop up? Fly out? Embed?
◦ What's the offer?
◦ What's the timing / trigger?
◦ What pages?
Feel free to DM your site link and I can take a closer look — otherwise the above will be helpful to better understand your situation
#everything-marketing - May 27, 2024 at 04:36 PM
@Vishal Kumar ah thank you for the context!
Have you looked at
? Makes it easy to field inbound support requests from social, email, site chat, etc all in one place. It's a bit pricey at $60/mth but if you think there's potential to monetize your inbound support requests then the juice might be worth the squeeze.
Another option if you haven't already might be to add a dropdown menu to your contact form on your website for Support Topic. i.e. 'Shipping', 'Billing', and then set up filters based on those keywords.
Setting up multiple email addresses isn't a bad idea, as long as you keep it simple for the customer: no more than 1 email displayed per touch point. i.e.
email in your link in bio, in your footer, etc. Finally, if you haven't already, it might be worth investing in building out a comprehensive FAQ or Knowledge Base on your website — or at least setting up a chat bot to help field most questions.
Hope this helps!

Hey @Benjamin Burns I worked at Shopify for 5 years and have my own store
It's not a perfect indicator — just more of a "we've observed these traits in other risky orders"
Here's how I approach them:
- Low risk = fulfill
- Med risk = email the customer (or refund + email and ask to re-order if the triggers make you feel a bit uneasy)
- High risk = never fulfill no matter how big — just not worth the risk Important note:
Fulfilling med/high risk orders doesn't only put you at risk of chargeback.
It also puts you at risk of being blacklisted by Shopify Payments. The more you fulfill high risk orders, the more likely you are to be blacklisted. Not worth it!
#everything-marketing - May 27, 2024 at 01:52 PM
Hey @Vishal Kumar — couple questions before I jump in with ideas:
- What are your main goals here? (i.e. improving response times, improving operational efficiency, simplifying internal processes)
- How many support requests do you receive on average per day or week?
- How is your current Gmail filter process going for you? What are its main drawbacks?
#everything-marketing - May 27, 2024 at 01:41 PM
If you have product / market fit already and have proven that you can sell your product, then it's possibly worth testing if you have confidence your audience is there
If you're still in the process of going from 0-1 I'd focus on platforms you're certain are more relevant to your customer first
In general though LinkedIn might not be the place for consumer product advertising and even if you have PMF — it's prob better to just put that spend towards scaling an existing channel

👋 I have 150K followers on TikTok.
Your brand can get there too — it's entirely realistic and within reach.
In the last two years I've obsessed over the platform and repeatedly launched accounts reaching 10K-20K views per video from day 1. Most recent account having 50k-5M views.
The "secret"?
TikTok is 80% luck, 20% within your control.
The gist of it is to post the content your audience is already consuming in mass volumes. Not plagiarizing: but identifying the top viewed content your audience is watching and replicating with micro attention to detail — using your own attractive character.
There's more nuance to this but that's the general direction.
This extends to pretty much all platforms with interest based algorithms.
Glad to see this channel was added.
Happy to talk TikTok anytime! I wrote a 'playbook' on my strategy — lmk if you think it would be valuable and I'll just post it in the thread (I have nothing to sell you just genuinely obsessed with this stuff)

Any attribution junkies here?
Wondering if View-Through Attribution is possible on TikTok organic
I know it's possible in the TikTok ads manager, but curious about attributing direct/referral traffic to customers who first watched a TikTok video (not an ad) before directly visiting the site

Anyone with manufacturing/fulfillment experience open to chatting?
We have 85k followers on TikTok and are trying to find a manufacturer + fulfillment solution for our card game we’re developing.
Found a few options but would be great to talk through it with someone before making any decisions!

Anyone selling on Amazon?
Creating a new product listing — would love to hear your experience!
Have done arbitrage (books) on Amazon but never started with a new product listing before.
Will be sending free products to get reviews + participating in the vine program if I can. Will likely run ads in the beginning too once I get a few reviews
