Is anyone aware of any podcast publishing services similar to transistor that upload video to YouTube?

#ops-supply-chain - September 25, 2025 at 03:57 PM

Also know a network of factories depending on category

#ops-supply-chain - September 14, 2025 at 03:20 PM

what type of legal advice are you looking for? I may have someone for you here in Montreal

#ops-inventory - August 20, 2025 at 07:48 PM

I'd give Octup a chance. I think it may have what you're looking for, assuming they can get the integration right

Otherwise, I'd encourage you to start building your own reporting with a tool like Parabola

#general-chat - August 08, 2025 at 11:07 AM

We’ve built out a lot of custom automations and agents that are touching almost every part of our back office

#ai-dtc - August 05, 2025 at 08:07 PM

I think there's a way to do that inside shopify, but It sounds like you need to get a middleware or order management system that can allow you to do that as opposed to using Shopify natively. There are some fairly inexpensive systems out there that allow you to do that in addition to improving the overall order experience or after-order experience. Happy to send you over some examples if you'd like.

We did a lot of research on this lane and I’m happy to share notes/ reccos. Feel free to dm me

can't say that I've had the pleasure of working with them.

#general-chat - June 25, 2025 at 05:54 PM

yeah good question. I would be looking for a baseline level to offset some of the key costs and share in the equity upside.

#general-chat - June 25, 2025 at 01:09 PM

I run an agency that can do all of the supply chain stuff. From my perspective I would advise against a completely outsourced approach for the following reasons.

  1. It will be difficult to unwind later on
  2. You leave yourself open to constant price increases regardless of how the business is doing
  3. Your goal in outsourcing should always be to outsource the work not the responsibility I could see something like this working if it was more of an equity partnership and the agency was putting in resources at almost no cost to the business and just sharing in the profits.

#general-chat - June 18, 2025 at 09:43 PM

I live in quebec and have done some research in the space. Happy to share notes if you have specific questions.

#ai-dtc - June 10, 2025 at 08:35 PM

If you’re looking to ship crossborder from the US that rate doesn’t seem terrible to me (obviously don’t know your weight or product). Is this inclusive or exclusive of duties?

#general-chat - May 29, 2025 at 09:38 AM

This totally makes sense once you reach a certain scale. Typical lifecycle for a brand is self fulfil-> 3PL -> dedicated warehouse

There’s a lot to consider but the biggest thing is adding variable costs for fixed costs. As long as you have the volume to justify it it can make sense.

Some other considerations->
• inventory control. Make sure you have good policies that people actually stick with
• typically will have to use only 1 carrier (due to volume) which means giving up some flexibility and potentially volume discounts
• Really need a good WMS- luckily there are some at all price points you can look at
• Tap into an on demand labor provider like spotwork to give yourself some flexibility
Happy to share more notes if helpful

Looks like de minimus is probably safe, ieepa was cited but other mechanisms were too

Here’s the EO

#general-chat - May 29, 2025 at 01:30 AM

I don’t think they invoked ieepa for de minimus but do you know? That’s a great question

#general-chat - May 29, 2025 at 01:18 AM

You think it will move that quickly? Perhaps they get a stay of enforcement but I think it's going to be 12-18 months min

#ai-dtc - May 29, 2025 at 01:14 AM

Courts just struck down the legal basis for most of Trump's Tariffs. Seems like there's a lot of immediate changes (and room for refunds) in the future.

Hej Hej!

#ops-supply-chain - April 22, 2025 at 09:17 PM

What is your source of truth? ShipHero isn’t a bad answer but you probably want this tied back to your QBO. This could be automated fairly easily.

#ai-dtc - April 02, 2025 at 07:17 PM

Have also had good experience with cubeship on that lane

#marketing-creatives-lp - April 01, 2025 at 09:19 PM

Is that due to how the products show up before cart or the offer themselves? Have you tested Shopify collective?

#marketing-creatives-lp - April 01, 2025 at 09:09 PM

Performance as in actual sales or in terms of connectivity/product working?

#marketing-creatives-lp - April 01, 2025 at 08:44 PM

Has anyone here worked with Carro or Shopify Collective who'd be willing to share their experience?

#ops-supply-chain - March 31, 2025 at 09:20 PM

In terms of a routing guide, yes. There is a new company called retail ready that is launching that tries to do this systematically. Seems really promising but haven’t used it yet personally

#ops-supply-chain - March 31, 2025 at 08:45 PM

lol yeah it’s amazing how 3 simple letter can cause so much stress.

If you’re looking for some folks to manage the day to day I’m happy to connect you there as well.

#ops-supply-chain - March 31, 2025 at 08:29 PM

There are several other really good EDI providers out there that are much cheaper than SPS. Depending on the relationship with your broker they may offer a managed service as well

#meetups-events - March 12, 2025 at 07:14 PM

Same!

#ai-dtc - March 12, 2025 at 01:15 PM

Very impressive! Happy to meet and share notes/see if this is something we can help with

#jobs-and-talent - March 06, 2025 at 09:47 PM

what is it you're trying to get help with? There are quite a few out there

#ai-dtc - March 03, 2025 at 11:14 PM

I haven’t seen anything from today but I believe that that has been the case as long as they are products of those countries. I’m assuming a ton is going to change in the next 18 hours so I’ll be sure to check that out in more detail

#ai-dtc - March 03, 2025 at 11:08 PM

Hey all- looks like Tariffs are likely hitting tomorrow for China, Mexico, & Canada. Putting on a webinar tomorrow to go through the latest news and to outline how to develop a new sourcing strategy.

2pm ET/11 PST on LinkedIn.

#general-chat - March 03, 2025 at 03:08 PM

I’d say that it is not common but not unheard of. Not sure of your business but Usually this is done to weed out really small shippers or shippers without any history to speak of. It’s a little more common if this is being used to fund parcel charges and will be a rolling amount.

#ai-dtc - February 18, 2025 at 10:33 AM

The key thing right now is country of origin. If you're sourcing from China you'll need to pay this no matter what- regardless if your 3PL is in the US or not. If there are other reasons why you would want to be in the US you should take a look at it.

One time thing or boots on the ground on an ongoing basis?

#ai-dtc - February 03, 2025 at 04:35 PM

Looks like Mexico has received a stay of execution for a month. Trump is talking with Trudeau at 3PM today and I'd be surprised if something doesn't change there as well.

For those who are interested, I'm co-hosting a linkedin live tomorrow at noon est: https://www.linkedin.com/events/decodingtheexecutiveorders-what7292171688308277248/theater/

Assuming a typical distribution of consumers the traditional spot for a single us warehouse is somewhere between Columbus, Indianapolis, and Cincinnati.

#general-chat - February 01, 2025 at 12:11 AM

Yes. Fairly was established strategy. DHL has the most well known express service but there are lots of regionals doing this as well.

#ai-dtc - January 31, 2025 at 11:32 PM

We just launched www.slotted.com to help with this exact thing- launching a feature specifically for consultants in about a month

#ops-supply-chain - January 28, 2025 at 12:28 PM

Corso is also a good option if you're looking for somehthing free to start with

#ai-dtc - January 23, 2025 at 11:41 AM

Ugh that’s so tough. Sorry to hear that!

So if you stick with the actual language of the contract they are probably right, but this is where you might try to negotiate that they cover something although realistically there’s probably very little that you can based on your contract. At the very least they shouldn’t get paid for those shipments (shipping + fulfillment)

A few questions/thoughts for you
• what is the implied error rate now? If they messed up 54/60 shipments then that’s different than 54/10,000 (although still sucks)
• Have they completed a root cause analysis of the issue? Do you have assurances that they have identified and corrected the root cause so that it doesn’t happen again?
• since your product is on the expensive side have you looked at having those customers return things and seeing if they will cover the return fees?
• you could look at adding in tighter performance language into the contract to cover yourself next time
• You could move 3PLs but I’d say this is a last resort. You picked these guys for a reason and it will be cheaper to get things fixed than starting over.
TLDR would focus on how they learn from this and prevent it from happening again. I know it’s tough but try to stay future focused vs reactive if you can.

#ai-dtc - January 18, 2025 at 08:20 PM

Can second Matt. I’d say general sentiment is fine but I hear more people talking about moving off than moving on extensiv

#general-chat - January 18, 2025 at 08:18 PM

Otherwise you’ll need to stand up a fulfillment center overseas.

#general-chat - January 18, 2025 at 08:18 PM

If you’re looking for crossborder shipping you can check out a solution like passport

#ai-dtc - January 16, 2025 at 12:22 PM

So usually you’ll have a cutoff time and a software that allows for this feature.

IE- orders are sent to your FC 3 hours after creation, therefore the customer has 3 hours to change it.

You can use a software like prettydamnquick or fulfil to allow them to self service

#ai-dtc - January 15, 2025 at 11:42 PM

This is a super broad question. Can you give some more details into what you’re trying to solve for? IE bandwidth, labor, mistakes, cost, etc. are you fulfilling orders yourself?

#ai-dtc - January 06, 2025 at 11:00 AM

Really depends on what you’re looking for, volumes, commodities. Check out third person to generate a list or www.slotted.com to search a database and build an RFP yourself.
