I found this super helpful - I took some notes and wanted to share my takeaways:
Choose micro-influencers – make your dollars go further
Look thru customer list to find people with a following / creators → big target is authenticity

Great incentive is that you pay based on how effective the content / ad spend.
E.g. 5% of ad spend
In addition - you can offer a bonus if their content earns over X amount of spend (gamify!)Reasonable Target for giveaways: 40% of creators make and post something
And they make 1.5 - 2 pieces of content each
→ Means give away 100 items and get 60-80 pieces of contentAdvice for onboarding or educating creators
• Give them the top performing angles for their video premise / language
• Share inspiration videos – what do you like?
• Make sure to explain WHY you like those videosAttribution lags behind influencer impact
They find that influencer performance is 4-5x what they can track with links & codes
Post purchase survey - have options for “someone I know” or “creator” or “someone I follow”
Reframe it as “doing more of this gets more sales” and pursue that thing
- Reminder - your influencer partners are people too. If you do taem building, or just go meet them outside of the work relationship, it deepens your connection. That can have an outsized impact on how you work together. Yes its getting saturated to give products away, but the gap today is Building relationships thru personal connections is still a very big opportunity (get to know them!)
