Agree with Ahmad here - revshare should be the move (to start), just make sure it’s mutual. You want to put them in a position where they hustle, and so just consider a rate that’s interesting for both parties. Remember that a higher rate just gets more attention compared to other offers they are prioritizing.
Thanks!
@Ahmad Abdallah for commission, I am assuming you share a unique coupon code with influencers? Curious on how you keep up with Coupon leaks and attribution mishaps that can happen sometimes?
@Ahmad Abdallah Any guidelines as to how much generally are they looking for?
Sorry for the late reply here yall. @Atif Raza Yes, they each get their own coupon code — coupon sites will definitely pick them up but we’ve successfully gotten them removed from most of the top-driving sites (Dealspotr, Honey, WeThrift, & Knoji are our top 4)… No biggie if it happens since it’s not like we’re slinging thousands of orders per day. But yeah, we just e-mail those top sites, ask them to remove the codes, give them their own code, and then check back up on it every Monday as a recurring task.
@Joel Jackson Every industry varies a bit… I have a buddy of mine who sees success by offering his creators a $ amount per order — I agree, it’s much easier for them to process how much that is in their pocket. “10% or 20%” doesn’t mean anything to these people because they don’t know your AOV. They don’t even know what AOV is. Despite that, for now, we still operate on a 10% commission that gets bumped to 20% once someone levels up to our Pro Tier. Some start at 15%.
I would say 10% is pretty uninspiring. We make it very easy for creators to get to 20%. They just need to get 10 or 20 orders (we change the rules depending on who they are, how big their following is, etc.)
Sometimes we skip the 10% tier all together if we’re actually excited to work with this person.
20% motivates them pretty well. Our AOV is about $80 so they’re getting about $10 - $15 cut every time someone orders usually, and that’s great for them.
