Hello! I am having issues with my 3PL and trying to figure out if the things I'm dealing with are par for the course, or if they're BS and I need to move on. Read more in comments

  • When I put in orders, say for wholesalers or editors, they often come with special instructions like preferred carrier or hand written notes. The warehouse often does not read the notes. One example is that a corporate gifting client gave me special instructions to use their FedEx account, which I relayed to my warehouse, but they sent it USPS.
  • They seem put out by my needing to add packing slips or displays to wholesale orders
  • They have misspelled my name on handwritten notes quite a few times
  • I redid my packaging and had to have them repackage a few hundred units. They did not line up the top of the box with the bottom of the box, which seems fairly obvious to me.
  • They add images of packed orders before they go out and I noticed in a recent one that the package is damaged. Which I think brings me to my main point... I know no one is going to care as deeply about doing things right for my brand as I will, but it just seems like there is a lack of care and attention to quality. Or they are just low staffed. Either way...

We've only been in business a year and I have nothing to compare it to. I would hate to switch and experience the same problems, or different but worse. Moving all my inventory does not sound pleasant either. And there are some things I really appreciate about the team (they pack day-of (but lately it's getting longer), dashboard is nice, I can get in touch with customer experience pretty quickly, they are the most cost effective for us out of 3 we compared.

I wouldn't be totally surprised if this is the norm, but if you have experienced better, do let me know! Also curious to hear if you've moved inventory and what that process was like. Thank you!
